Fuel Starved?

Hey, im having a lot of probz with my Stagea since yesterday ...

All started fine driving to work fine and then KAPOW!!! she starts playing up ... almost stalling coughing n spluttering.

Anything above 1500rpm and it almost stalls, anything under and its fine (ish)?

I had to book it into a local mechanic but he didnt want to "play" weith it to much and couldnt diagnose it ... however he did spray some carby cleaner and reckons that the power came, but then dropped again straight away so believes itz very lean.

Initially i thought it was the fuel pump but they reckon its not that .

PLS HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas etc ....

PS there cleaning the AFM now so see if that helpz

could be tons of things. afm is a good start.

i would also try checking the injector plugs to make sure 1 hasn't come loose. seen it before.

good idea, cheers mate ... ill get them checked today .

Cleanin the Afm didnt help ... but he found covering it up a bit with his hand to restrict the flow, fixed the prob so im gonna try and source a AFM to test it.

Any more ideas guyz n galz?

Can you "free-rev" the engine OK? And it's only a problem under load ie driving?

Replace the fuel filter.

Cheerz guyz ...got it sorted today ..it was the AFM ..running sweet again now
