hey guys, i have only had my 32 for about a month now but when i got it, i noticed that the top two corner rubber seals of each door were kinda cracked and i believe that they are whats causing a whistling noise when driving (really annoying, trust me). i went to clark rubber and asked if they had anything, they said they only had the seals the suit the 32 gtr model, im just wondering if anyone knows will the gtr seals fit the gts-t? cheers for any help

CLARK RUBBER???? They have them???? Fark! How much? Yes the same ones will fit the GTS-t. At least I'm 99.99999% sure they will. Only difference on a GTR body is the quarter panels. Roof and doors are the same. If the quality and price of the Clark ones is good this is a winner. All the R32's shag the seals at the upper rear corner and Nissan ones are over $500/pair. Please post more info. I can feel a group buy coming on. :)

Cool. Not sure about the whistling though. Usually the top rear corner will chew through the seal over the years but mine doesn't whistle or leak yet. Mind you that's just mine. Btw, the bloke at Clark rubber might have meant they only have seals for coupes. Obviously the sedan ones are different. Will look forward to reading your report. :)

uhhhh some bad news..... turns out the guy i was speaking to last time just told me that he could get the seals without checking. i went down today and after 15 mins of searching on the computer, another guy said he wasnt able to get them :) . so uhh sorry for misleading you guys, i feel pretty bad about it, plus now i have no idea where to get the seals from. all he could suggest was a place in nsw that only do nissan parts but they are still expensive as, either that or go to nissan with a shotgun and hope for the best. so sorry again guys

cheers glenn

soo.....still no solution to where to get these seals from? who would have after market ones? plus im also after the seal for the back window aswell? anyone know where i cna get that from without having to pay like 500 bucks for it!!

thanks guys

Well I tried this bunch that do seals for (scuse the naughty words) Fords and Holdens and such. They have theirs made in Melbourne but the place doesn't make 32 seals.I think he said they do 31's though.

So far I'm stuck with Nissan.Hey just a thought:given the number of 32's with rooted seals around now it might be possible to get a good price for a load of them custom made.

now theres an idea! all we have to do is find someone who will make them

rarespares or something may well be able to make them.. they are well known for making seals for 'classic' old cars. If they thought the demand was there, they may well do. But it depends on the numbers.

Lets face it, probably 2/3 of R32 have the stuffed rear window seal by now, and the door ones stuffed or nearly there. There'd be a heap of buyers if the price wasn't stratospheric.

whats the word about clark rubber and their door seals? I'll probably drop by tomorrow to clarky and have a look.

I get wind noises coming from both doors at speeds over 60km~, its annoying and loud

Clark rubber don't have them. Check earlier posts. The bloke there said they had them without making sure first. He was wrong unfortunately.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
