Wanted: stock RB25DET (Neo) in-rail fuel pressure regulator ASAP. Anything that will suit the Neo motor ... I assume any RB25DET will do.

Anyone?

:D

Can't find mine ... still looking.

Hey Rubes what is the issue with the one I sold you? Have you had a mechanic check the fitting and settings? I would get some opinions from mechanics before I give up on it - they are very highly rated in mod circles.

I had HiTech fit it for me Andrew. Haven't had a thorough look at it yet (only adjustments). Might get some time tonight to thoroughly check it.

When John fitted it, I had the boost wound down to stock (10 to 7psi) fitted the sotck air box and took it all back to stock settings just to be safe for the dyno day until I could get a full tune at 10psi. Only the car was grossly underpowered on the day. And I've been chasing the problem since.

All I know is what the FPR gauge tells me. The pressure hits about 60psi on start up with a whinning noise (odd sound, hard to describe) which it never made before (when John Keen fitted it), and after 10-15 seconds the noise stops and the pressure drops to 25-30 psi. No matter how much I adjust it (only time I've touched it since John fitted it), it won't go above 30psi. I've been taking note of amount of turns from John's setting. Its running so poorly, I'm scared to drive it the distance to John's. Willall is my closest, but no one can help me on Saturdays (I work 8-5).

I just want a stock FPR to rule this out as being the problem. I'm also going to clean the AFM and O2 sensor. Got my A/F ratio meter today ... should have this fitted by the weekend. Then I'll know how bad it is.

I have the Aero front bar from Viva, fits ok i guess, but best fitted by a professional. The feedback was "pain in the ass to fit"

thanxxx i called up but they dont have any in stock but while i was lookin around i saw the jbl kits for the 34!! fair sexx :D just ceebz orderin one from europe  needa c if any1 here does them.

Looking for a cheap thrash car like a manual datto, ke70, gem ect to do some rallying and other motor events. Budget is about a grand unless you have something really of interested and would be interested in swapping for a 32 GTST.

Send me a PM if you've got anything. :)

For some reason I cant work out how to post in sections... used to have a "new topic" tab, but its gone... anyway I'm looking for the plastic factory splash tray that sits under the sump for an R32... anyone? Hope this gets thru....

Mike

    • I don't know, I've never done it that way, but 1. While it is an interference engine, there is still clearance between the valves and the piston at all points in the regular timing cycle 2. There is not a lot of distance before you can't catch the top of the valve stem any more I don't know if 2 is greater or less than 1. But 3. If it doesn't work out you are f**ked, engine is coming out to disassemble so it is a big bet.
    • Semi slicks are horrible for road use, just use a high performance road tyre unless you really need the maximum grip. Noisy, unpredictable (amazing, until they are not), expensive due to very high wear and not good in cold and particular wet. And yes, it is a thing to store cars on stands instead of tyres if you know they are going to be parked up long term.....but who ever realises that a short park is going to stretch into years before it is out again!
    • I know in Australia you'll definitely get above 30c. Parked in the shade in Summer you'll be above that. 😛 But in cooler climates, you might get that warm driving on the highway for a bit, but you'd never get to full heat temp. I'll try and find some of my historical tyre temps between Aus summer and winter (be aware immin the warmer area of Aus too.)
    • I get that taking off the head is best but that's a bit much for "just" valve seals. I was just under the impression that one would be able to rotate to TDC and be able to temporarily drop the valve without losing it and effectively having to remove the head to then recover it. I never knew people actually pushed rope into the cylinder to do valve seals hahaha So just to confirm, just going to TDC will not work? In that case I know when I do valve seals I'll maybe just remove the head and do some other things while I'm there, or just wait until I do an engine build.
