yeah i cant beleive im helping this guy out.. if he isnt driving with safety and courtesy i dont want him on the same road as me. but i do know what its like to get booked for something stupid (was on today tonight in the height of P PLATER hating season 2-3yrs ago) . It sucks ass.

seriously... you shouldnt have parked in a handicapped zone... and if your friends were only 2 min i wouldnt turn the car off.. just roll around the carpark. none of this stay with the car bs..

if you were with it and it was still on ie keys in (idiot) or turbo timer (also illegal- car should not be on when ignition turned off) cop may have told you off anyway

Edit: just showing how it wont stand in court anyway

When the coppers say 'you'll get it in the mail' it's just a scare tactic. He was prolly laughing at you when you left.

HOT TIP: Leave your rear P plate on the parcel shelf like it fell down, when a copper's like wheres your P plate just look back and go 'ummmm it must of fell sorry I didnt realise'. I used to do it on my P's always worked and saved my being pulled over everyday.

Just as illegal as not driving with them at all.

A P-Plate must be clearly visible from 25metres away from the vehicle, when viewed from the front, or the rear, hence, why I can't put my green P in the rear window of the line. The window is too far tilted, especially with really dark tint (Legal tint)

As for the handicap thing. GET THE HELL OUT OF IT!

I'm sick and tired of going to the shops with my dad or what ever, and some soft cock P-plater is parked in the disabled spot and he can't use it (He is disabled!) Walk FFS! You are fully bodily abled!

Although, you will never get the fine in the mail at all.

Also, copper is technically never off duty. They're a civil servant IIRC, meaning, they're always on call.

The other day I parked at a mall and out of the probably 10,000 parking spots, maybe 5 were filled. I wrestled with my own mind but eventually bypassed the 5 disabled parking spots and hit the next available normal one. I am completely conditioned not to use them. I guess I don't need the recall stabilisation after all. :) (1984 reference for those who don't recognise it)

Also my Dad has the disabled sticker - with good reason - but sometimes he doesn't park there. He goes, "Oh there is probably someone more disabled than me." :)

Ha ha ha, at certain places my dad goes "I know I can park closer in a normal parking spot..."

But at certain places he uses them, other times he parks like normal.

Not always. I got a fine for a red light (which I never went through) from this fat troll cop not too long ago, they said "your fine will be in the mail" and guess what, it was. Assholes..

    • I don't care for these at all, but at least the underside looks straight and not rusty. A good basis for a long life. Many cars from Japan have been lifted with forklifts and f**ked almost irrepairably.
    • Yes, but it's not dumb or dodgy. You can build a perfectly good boost controller from a pressure reg, a relief valve (looks same same as a reg if all from Norgren or SMC, for example) and a check valve. I ran one for years. Only superceded with  EBC because I could get one for cheaps and wanted finer control.   THis mod is certainly not a sketchy boost mod, provided the boost is kept below the "spin to death" threshold of the turbos.
    • With ordering the belt, you're doing water pump and the idler and tensioner at the same time too yes?
    • This is just a dumb way of keeping the wastegate closed to make more boost. Undo it and either follow the factory setup or redo it properly. Manual boost controllers just use a spring preload to determine when to close in response to boost pressure so it no longer vents to atmosphere.
    • So for the wide band is a Bosch 4.9 correct for the Link G4+ along with a Can bus? Just get the Link gear or is generic ok too? Eg here: LINK LINK DIGITAL WIDEBAND CAN MODULE WITH BOSCH 4.9 SENSOR : KYP Performance House
