Who do you know Miss JUZ? Any Drift Australia Drivers? Any Super Drift Drivers? Two of my close mates compete in Drift Australia and they are heavily involved in the Melbourne Drift scene.

Mega Power Is one of the most upcoming drivers in Melbourne and competes in Super Drift so Its safe to say hes got 10 times more of a clue than you do.

Getting sideways out of Noble park maccas doesnt count as a drifter.

oh shit

Thats alrite Mizjus fair enough if you dont like it, but there are many good people in the scene I know of and very little idiots.

Dezz - go and keep using people - Ive heard about your tyrekicking.

Btw I heard theres cheap flights to NZ and free accom - perfect for a cheapskate like you!!

Yes I know experienced drivers and amatures in the drift scene, as well as workshops and sponsors. I have done a few drift events myself. Unlike other motorsport events I found it difficult to talk to other drivers and general community. It might have been just me, but there was an arrogance in the air!

I myself have been known to hit the streets late at night.

I've seen a few 'cool hip jim' individuals with pink neons.. and what's with those crappy windscreen wiper jet ones. I don't get them.

If anyone wants to challenge me to a drift contest, I already accept.

But I stand by comments, any sport that requires judging to determin a winner is just a popularity contest.

Did I already mention I like drift?, cause it seems i'm being defensive here when I shouldn't need to be.

Nice speaking to you and your buddies the other week too...I was really scared

Hey no need to get angry ppls.

MissJuz happens to be highly involed in drift. Has been for a long time.

Originally with Full Lock Motorsport......

We had many Drift Australia drivers and full race cars to our DECA events in the past.

I love teh drift.

Thats fine, I was the score compiler and advertising manager for Full Lock motorsports for two years. I travelled to every event over the last two years and worked very hard on the drifting industry. I also went to the first demo event in tassie driftmania last year and devoted every work holiday period to the drift industry for all of 2004 and 2005. I have sat with the judges at everyone of our events and if you ever got a mail out from full lock about results that was sent by me!

I know most of the major drivers and Adam Newton is my co driver for Dutton Rally events. I also know everyone at driftline (they sponsored my car for dutton). I know aaron coco, trav dunston, matt sampson, mark phillips etc....

I LOVE DRIFTING, just not interested in the street scene here in Melbourne and wouldn't put my personal $$ into it.

I was at Calder last wednesday night watching adam rip up in the drift 6.

forget it.

mega and Starion. Give it up guys.

Juz is highly respected in drift and has put a shiteload of effort into. The same amount of effort she is currently putting into SAU.

if you don't know her, that's your problem..... cos everybody else does!

You can Come talk to me Scotsman!! I agree though there is a sense of arrogance at the events but out of the events its pretty relaxed.

Dezz - Dont accuse me of doing shit I just spoke to a mate of mine and hes asked me if we had, Wudnt waste my precious time or money speaking to you.

MizJUZ. Full lock is 3 years ago. Its nothing now. I know the guys at driftline as well so what? Most of the names mentioned Arent even drifting in DA next year. We are discussing a scene here!

Another point i'd like to add is that I poured many hours of my own time into the Drift for Dummy's event.

I organised the venue and the insurance, created the event schedules and ran the event on the day, as well as various other things required to get an event like that off the ground. (with some help from SAU committee) I was the one who spoke to J-spec and arranged sponsorship. I even promoted the event on other forums and helped interested drivers get everything they needed to be able to attend the event.

It was a whole heap more work than a DECA day.

Why would I have done that if I didn't like drift?

Next time I just won't bother trying to help grass roots drift ......

    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
    • Those comp test results are not hideous. Whether they are accurate or not (ie, when that comp tester says 140 psi, is the real pressure120, 140 or 160?) is unknown to us. The state of the battery used to crank it over is unknown, etc etc. Many people around here would say that the absolute values and the spread are perfectly fine to just add boost and keep going. I personally would be happier with a narrower spread than that, but even the diff between 125 and 145 is not terrible. That one cylinder at 125 though, has probably copped some damage relative to the others. You should inspect the valves seeing as you've got it open. Do you know how to measure installed ring gaps? That, and an inspection of the rings themselves, is how you will determine whether they need to be replaced. If you're not good to do these things, take the block and the pistons and rings to a shop that is, and ask them for the go/no-go on them. Do the bores need a hone at all? If so, you might well be justified in getting some different pistons in order to get away from the ring supply problem. Whether you're happy to spend a lot more money right now, on more gear, rather than less money, but an amount that looks stupid given that you will only get a handful of rings in exchange for that money, is for you to decide.
    • also possibly backed up to my filler and shat down it! 🤣
    • Ok so i would love some advice here please, i purchased an R33 a few months back and its had a few mods done to the engine, its an RB25det running a Master ECU, 1200cc injectors, bigger turbo, oil cooler, oil filter relocation kit, Spool H-beam rods, acl/ross pistons. When i removed the motor from the vehicle (as its getting a respray) i thought i would compression test it and these are the following results. Cylinder 1-145psi, Cylinder 2-143psi, Cylinder 3-125psi, Cylinder 4-145psi, Cylinder 5-140psi, Cylinder 6-135psi this test was done with the motor on the ground and powering up the starter motor. I dropped the sump and found broken oil squirters on cylinder 3,5 and 6. I was told my rings are probably worn so i stripped the motor completely to get a new set of rings for it. The trouble is no one has these rings anywhere and they have to be custom made by Ross over in the states and will cost about $600+$200 delivery. My question is how can i tell if my rings are at fault and if they are still ok and is this price ok for a set of rings?
