INSURANCE??? I'm guessing not.......

As much as I agree that the oxygen-thieves that steal should be removed from the face-of-the-earth, life isn't that simple & unfortunately some soft of cover is essential. Now before some of you whinge that "Insurance is too expensive" etc, is it a cost of owning the car, just like rego, fuel, tyres etc.

Until the laws are changed so we can shoot these clowns on sight & feed them to our pets, insurance truly is a necessary evil.

he took it on the chin but we would still love to catch these f**kers

one thing i cant stand is people f**king with other peoples pride and joy it makes me so angry

i would love to catch someone trying to damage or even steel my car so i can open up a whole 44gallon drum of super dopper woop ass with extra sauce on there ass

scary thing is once i start on the scum i dont know if i would stop?

I know what u mean, im still wanting to meet the jerk that keyed my car. and if someone stole it, i would be even more pissed off....

i couldnt imagine getting a loan, and then ahving car stolen, then no insurance, and having to pay off a debt for nothing.. I hope this isnt the case with his younger Brother.

anyway, good luck with it

yep thats the case with the younger brother all right

he took out a 16k loan and bought a 2door r33 then swpaed it back to the dealer for a 4door impul r33 then moved to queensland and then this happend about 4 months later like i said he was going to insure it cause i always used to hastle him about it and he was going to get it this tax season but it never got there poor c**t

so now his paying of a 16k loan for nothing while some drug f**ked scum buys him self a big rock and smokes it up till his eyes fall out of his skull

then cant make his child support for his 6 kids to 8 different mums (try figure that one out hahaha)

he was going to take me on a sau cruise while i was up there but not any more, would have been fun to see what the scene is like up there.

next time anyone sees someone braking into a car or damaging someones car i give you full right to beat the c**t into the curb.

So if i lock my key in my car and try to open the door and u see me doing it, im going to get knocked to the Curb...

Its sad yes, but it was dumb to leave the car out or drive it without insurance. I have paid $3600 in two years on insurance, and nothing gone wrong, but its the price of owning a car.

IM not saying its his fault that it was stolen. no one deserves that. Its just that no insurance is a bitch.

most of the **** that do this are little weedy f**ks, and you tend to find one within the vicinity when an alarm goes off.... at least get an alarm..

they'll be locals.. arundel and parkwood are full of scumbag shits.. in fact I could probably tell you about 2-3 houses that are always way too stocked to be legitimate business owners, et al in golf links estate.

"BASTARDS :pirate: !!! "

I'm insured with Just Car Insurance was quick, easy and cheap but if i have to park anywhere sus i take my dog 'Mojo', downer is cleaning the dog hair out after ! He sleeps in the back and has already caught some sucker trying to break into my work van at Christine Corner Shopping Centre Burleigh Waters, they got a nasty suprise, dog latched onto the end of your arm is never a good thing. I managed to get a boot into the Adidas sponsered tard before he legged it, bit of a bait up though, my wallet and phone was sitting on the centre console with the window down 3 inches. Silly me , lol...

    • I see, honestly I’m not too fussed about the looks. The only reason to go plenum is to make the piping easier instead of the classic over the rad etc.
    • Not easy to quantify wrt something like how many fractions of a second slower it would be over 0-100. But given that a 250-300rwkW car is able to do that launch sprint in 5-6 sec (and faster with appropriate tyres, and surface)..... giving up as much as a second would feel like torture. A ~450HP capable turbo is not going to make lots of boost in the 2000-3000 rpm range. So, whilst with some boost on hand it will be faster accelerating in that rev range than your engine currently is NA, it will not feel like a fast car until the boost is solidly in. You know what your car feels like right now when you open it up at 2000rpm. if you've ever been in an actual fast car, you will appreciate that the NARB25 is.... not exciting. Well, add some boost and it will be better. But shorten the intake runners and it might not be better at all. It might come out better, but it could end up feeling the same. For me, it's not the 0-X km/h sprints that matter. It is easy to fry the tyres with anything over 200 rwkW. You can't use all the power available in 1st and 2nd anyway, you have to modulate the throttle. What matters is how the car reacts when you're driving in traffic in 4th or 5th and have maybe 2000 rpm on board, and you want/need to add some speed quickly, and don't have time for the downshift. It won't make boost, it will be all NA (at the speeds we're talking about - remember how fast you're going at 2000 in 4th! and don't plan on breaking the limit by too much.) So giving away NA torque is not what I would consider practical for a street car. And retaining that NA torque builds boost faster which makes the car faster. The flashy plenum is not actually better, unless you're looking at a track car where you can keep it on the boil all the time.
    • So how much difference does it make you think? Like 1 second in the 0-100?  I was have smaller turbo so hopefully that spools quick GTX2871.  currently it’s NA so you can imagine pretty slow, but I do want fast accusation a little as there’s not many places I’ll be driving where I go over 80 even near me. So 0-60 and 0-80 targets
    • Short inlet runners cost quite a bit. Dulls off the off-boost torque, and delays boost onset, because arrival of boost is driven by gas flow is a product of the ability to flow air which is torque. This is the reason that the stock manifolds have longer runners. On a 3L, or bigger, you can usually accept the compromise of giving away some torque because the extra capacity gives you a little extra to waste. But on a smaller motor, there's not a lot there to start with. Example, I swapped RB20 out of my R32, 25NeoDET in its place. The "wall of torque" that I experienced afterwards made it all worthwhile. That's because I came from RB20 land where torque is not a thing. But I would not do anything, anything at all, to reduce the low/mid torque I have now, because I remember what it is like to not have it!
    • Really, low/midrange torque goes really bad?? I want decent acceleration, maybe I use a stock rb25det neo manifold?
