Yeah, I purchased the car as is in the pics.

This style of bodykit sticks out from every angle on the car, making it really fun when parking. :/

The deep dish definately gets shadowed by the kit, and the rims already protrude slightly past the standard guards.

I'd prefer to throw on a set of JDM black-spoked rims, however performance upgrades are of more importance at this point in time.

BTW: That pic was taken b4 the coilovers went in so looks better now cause its lower.

But yes oem is much better fit but as powerplay told me almost impossible to find... normally they can source anything for a price. Someone post up if u find original one and pricing.

Thought I'd put some pics of mine up.

Only difference now, is I've swapped the indicators for the clear Nismo items, and removed the licence plate cover for a much cleaner look.

i never was a big fan of snow plow style kits........bit i can see it workn on yours for s0me reason, defiently needs bigger rims

I totally agree with you, and understand where your coming from.

I'm a fan of only adding kits that enhance the natural lines of the car , if adding any at all e.g. a GTR needs nothing added to the body, already looks tough from factory IMO,... a more minimalist approach is more appealing to myself personally.,... as opposed to something hideous like a Supra with a Veilside front bar for example,... which totally detracts from the naturally curvacious front end.

The "Vertex/Uras" style kit such as mine, looks more at home on a drift car, however it has helped my car to stand out a little more,.. although that bottom lip protruding so far is a hinderance on driveways,.. thus the reason why my car will not be lowered.

19" rims are definately on my wish list, yet performance is all factory at the moment, so I'll be putting up with the exterior for some time.

OK, why not...

:D

I've never seen a body kit that I thought truly enhanced the existing lines of a Skyline.

That said, I would like a new front bar... but I've yet to find the right one as yet!

Nice model car if anyone else noticed lol.

The front bar doesn't suit your car.

Would get some pics of mine up asap. But its been at the paintshop since 10Dec.

Excuses excuses. Was going to pick up today. A worker crashed into a fence slightly most likly cracking the front bar, pick up tomorrow morning.

I noticed the model car,.... it's an die-cast R32 GTR from Initial D "Night Kids", manufactured by Jada Toys.

The front bar is the standard R34 GT-T series 2 item if I'm not mistaken. I much prefer the series 1 front bar, however I'd much prefer a series 2 model for it's a later model.

thats very clean man. if u want a good frontbar, y not look at either the normal gtt fb with a lip or the nismo one that a lot of cars have?

(Thanks for the reply & sorry for taking so long to reply, been too damned busy!)

Agreed in that I do prefer the older style FB on these - not sure what the Nismo version looks like but if anyone has a link or photo handy I'd sure appreciate it.

Also love the GTR bumper - but that sounds like an expensive proposition as IIRC you'd also need to change the bonnet?

Mind you, the GTR bonnet also looks great :(

Cheers

hey man big fan of your titanium zorst :( what brand is it?

ill put a few pic up tonight :D

My exhaust? If so, it's not titanium (I wish...)... just a 3.5" Xforce system. Only had it fitted 2 or 3 weeks ago but am seriously considering replacing the muffler with a Varex muffler as I find this one too loud for daily driving whilst too restricted with the silencer fitted. So it might be on the market shortly...

Only problem is that apparently they don't make a 3.5" version of the Varex - only a 3", I'm thinking though that it shouldnt make too much difference performance wise.

Also looking for other options in the variable department - but not much seems available in Oz, and the others I have looked at O.S are bloody expensive. If anyone knows of others available in Oz i'd love to hear about 'em. Cheers :)

Correct :D

Again correct - and I also prefer the series one bumper - although if I got one of those I'd also have to replace the indicator lenses with some clear ones... well, I should anyway I reckon.

BTW the number plate is only temporary as i'll be moving to Tassie shortly, will get one of the slimline type of plates as well, and trying to find a good custom plate - but all the good ones are taken of course! I really wanted just 'R34' but it looks like they don't allow so few letters/numbers combo. Also, I might move the plate away to the side to show off the intercooler...

some of my girl taken at camelot castle on the weekend :(

we really went here at the wrong time of day but still looks ok

Nice, very nice... what bumper is that, aftermarket? Also like the number plate placment, do you have a side view showing off the bumper?

Looks good with no wing - I'm undecided whether I want to remove mine or not, one day I like it, next day I'm not so sure... So I was thinking that once I've moved interstate and resettled, I might simply buy another boot and have it sprayed to match - that way I can simply change boots from time to time as the mood takes me :D

Sooo many hot 34's!! :(

I don't have any flash pics of my R34 GTR :) But here's a couple of new ones of her with the new FMIC & Coilovers thanks to GReddy :nyaanyaa:

She'll be looking alot different in a few months... The plan is all coming together very nicely now :D Can't wait!

what power did your car lay down on the rollers wayne j?

The whole kit on the white R34 is an IMPUL item

Hi Grant,

Had the car tuned at Croydon last week. (Great guys by the way)

Before I had any work done I had it run on the Dyno, it did 170KW - that's with an Xforce 3.5" turbo back system, Splitfires & Blitz panel filter - otherwise stock.

Then had a Power FC fitted, along with a FMIC and GReddy PRofec B-spec II boost controller... oh, and a new O2 sensor as well.

Did 210KW @ 14psi, so a nice improvement I thought.

Certainly a noticeable improvement in acceleration, particularly in the mid-range. Turbo kicks in much earlier than before.

Fuel economy seems same or similar... maybe a bit better than before?

It's a bit hard to tell because I've been pretty heavy with the right foot since I picked it up from CRD and filled the tank...

Also thanks for the Impul info Grant, I'll definitely look further into their front bars, cheers.

Looks very nice! It looks fairly low - any scrubbing or other clearance problems noticed yet?

I have Nismo coilovers in mine, from what I can tell not set up as low as yours, but I've scraped the resonator on the exhaust once in my driveway already... hmm.

And the front tyres do scrape on the guards ever so slightly when at a fairly hard lock and going up a driveway... but not so badly as to be a real problem.

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
