a standard diff is useless for drifting (i beleive it only spins 1 wheel and its no where near as ez to control as a mechanical)

a 1.5 or 2 way lsd will keep u going hard all day long

brands like kaaz, cusco, nismo are all good

expect to pay around 1.5k for one (give or take a hundred or two depending on brand/shop)

or if your on a budget.... weld your diff together :D:D:D

Most drifters opt for a 2 way LSD, so the car's attitude is consistent during on-off throttle.

And viscous LSDs (which I assume the S13 turbos used, mechanical LSDs weren't really prevalent back then) don't lock up too well. That's what makes them relatively "streetable".

If you're on a budget you could try using a more viscous fluid so it will lock up faster. Viscous LSDs are inherently 2 way, so it might suit your drifting needs. There is an aftermarket for VLSD fluid, although its not a big one since most people who want to "tune" their LSD end up going to a mechanical.

Suggestionsfor Brisbane southside? What should I be expecting to pay roughly?

Accurate Suspension (Woodridge) are closed til the new year, I usually go there.

Also highly recommend Tyrezone Cleveland, they have latest alignment equipment and setup drift cars. They will look after you.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
