Yeah saw the sign on the way past the other day... they've been there for as long as I can remember.

It'll be weird not seeing a whole stack of imports on the corner... a bit like it was weird when they went from selling Yank tanks and almost nothing but V8s (mate) to being virtually 100% turbo imports lol

WOW

I went past the other day and I didnt see a sign...

Thats a shame... I guess if it was due to the tunnel then they would just move the car yard...

If their not moving then one can only assume that their funds $$$$ are drying up.

i hear nothing but bad stories about street machines these days

last time i went there with a friend who was skyline shopping, the salesmen were rude, obnoxious, and stupid

salesmen? what salesmen? lol

i've been there a couple of times lately now (looking for cars for my brother) and you can't raise a salesman in that place if you try!

we were genuinely interested in a car, wanting to talk to them about it, and they couldn't be bothered leaving their little airconditioned office to come out and talk to us......

having said that, my '32 was bought through them by the previous owner back in 2001 (found the receipt in the car after i bought it, lol)

maybe they weren't making enough profit off all their Delicas? :(

also, are they having a 'closing down sale' where i can get a car cheap? :P

I for one am glad. Not allowed to post opinion on the forums but my glee should show how I feel.

Now if only a couple other car yards would close down I'd be the happiest man around.

Heres to closing down, and not just relocating :P

we managed to root one out by checking out a 34gtr they had on display

"hey guys get out of the car and don't touch it"

f**k youuuuuuuuuuuu

i was there looking at buying the gunmetal GTR , the sales guy youngish bloke was rude and didnt really bother .. Theo on other had is a awsome bloke too bad he has crappy sales guys working

otherwise nice cars he has .. his brother Darren has nicer cars

John thats crap, it is going to be at the hospital as I have had dealings in this project. they are looking at running it down from buranda as well but if you notice they have bought a substanual amount of land in the area to facilitate this.

I know for a fact that the tunnel goes under the Boggo Road site as one of Mrbenno's friends is the engineer in charge of ensuring the Heritage listed buildings at Boggo Road are not effected.

dodgy imports?

u guys must have been doing it wrong

they sold us our car, and it hasnt missed a beat in over 3 years

i would go as far as to say, its the best thing ive ever bought

sooooo much joy, no negative stuff

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
