Yeah good and bad drivers. Cant hurt putting something up, the guy might see it and feel really stupid and try and curve his actions, never know.

But if you do get someone following that closely, be sure to leave adquate space between you and the car in front just incase the tool tailgating you does run up your bum. If you can even try and leave enough space so you can slow down slowly enough they have space to stop safely. You can adopt the additude 'f&%k 'em' let them hit me up the bum, let them learn a lesson, but really your car is off the road, and well you could get killed.

I tap the breaks if someone tailgates me.

Tho I havent done it so much recently, this one dude in a shitty magna with fake bonnet scoops one night thought hed be a real smartass and get so far up my ass I couldnt see most of his bonnet... I lit the break lights up, no breaks just the lights, he $hat himself and wound up spinning out (this was on the highway) which lead him to have a rather nasty encounter with the middle divider. His car was f**ked... he walked away however im sure (he hit the divider with the front left side of his car once as it spun, it bounced off, spun round and went directly ass first into it and allmost jumped over it), otherwise itd be all over today tonight or something.

As I wasnt involved in the accident (He tailgated me then spun out) I kept driving for a few km's then called the cops to go make sure he was ok.

/end random story.

All i have to say is, "There is irresponsible drivers in all sorts of cars" by personally attacking someone in a skyline proves or does jack crap, especially when it happens every day every where in all sorts of cars not just skylines, IF and i say IF they stuff up its there fault, just hope that your not a part of it.

Not only that ever heard the saying" Treat everyone else as a d!*khead on the road" meaning for those that dont understand, keep your distance, be aware of these people, and just let those people go on and be an idiot they will come unstuck at one time.

AND on another note, opening something like this is a load of crap. Im sure we are all aware of the numerous idiots on our roads, but im sure every "Idiot" you see you dont go around taking numberplates and photos and videos do you? if you did, well one thing your making a fool of yourself and wasting your own time. Oh on another note why were you concerntrating on them and there actions and IF you were taking video, isnt that illegal using mobile phone whilst driving, Driving distracted, and or not concerntrating?

Just be aware of them and stay clear of them, Yes these people dont help our skyline media situation but face it, our cars are targets of the media.

My opinion on things

Cheers

i had the same problem not 2 weeks ago with a blue r33 4 door, real wanker...

i feel for you but you'll prolly find that they are not the forum...

ohnos

im a blue r33 4door and a bit of a wanker

i wonder if it was me!?

I do the same hey....there was a reason nissan made skyline tail lights quite unique and imo its to spam ur brake peddle lightly if ur being tailgated to scare the f**k outta the dude behind u. Its kinda like 4 big warning lights :)

I would just like to make a special thankyou to the mentally challenged individual who yesterday, whilst on my way home from work, decided to conduct themselves in a responsible, mature manner on our roads.

I noticed the following in my drive:

1. Following too closely. This could be viewed as an understatement as at times you were so close to not only myself but other cars, that I am sure they were lucky to see your bonnet.

2. Irratic acceleration and braking. Yes your car is a race car with 6 pot Alcons...and it has awesome acceleration, just here that blow off valve.

3. No indication, and irratic lane changing. Yes that thing on the side of the steering wheel, its used to indicate your INTENTION to change lanes...

So my sincere thanks for your display if poor driving skills displayed yesterday along Webster Rd. If you wonder who I am, I was the person in the maroon corolla who was merely mindind my own business on the drive home, in greasy conditions while abiding by the road rules, and given that there is still traffic...

So if everyone wonders why they don't get to enjoy driving their cars, its people like this that give the general public the mindset for which the media uses to its advantage to unfairly discriminate against those of use who are enthusiasts and not moronic hoons and general scum of ssociety like yourself.

So if you are the owner of a dark grey R33 series I with the number plates 499 *** (I have the rest written down) then maybe you need to re-think why you still have a license.

Further, good to see that you live on a main road on my way home, its easier to provide the authorities with your details, so thanks for that.

Lastly, I would like to say, I would prefer to call you every name under the sun, however, I am still unsure whether you are male or female and thus I will reserve my judgement. Either way I am sure you are not the prettiest person in the world...

Finally someone posts this up ..

Sad to say Media will Label everyone as a "HOON"

I hope they learn their lesson one day ..

I usually just back off the throttle, maybe touch the brakes enough for the lights to come on (but not enough for the brakes to actually do anything) - as has been mentioned, if they hit you it's their fault, but you're still without a car. Just back off, let the car slow itself down. Keep slowing down and eventually they'll go around you. Hopefully at a great rate of knots, in close proximity to a police vehicle.

nice work, good to see someone taking action against dangerous drivers

the roads will be safer when more people like you cause accidents and get the dangerous people off the road

Im with Marc on this one... I think the exact same thing...

Oooh!!! Sarcasm from a noob!! Nice work....... but don't push it so early in your forum career.

HAHAHAHA, Nice one dave...

"Further, good to see that you live on a main road on my way home, its easier to provide the authorities with your details, so thanks for that."

beats me why u would go to the hassle....u must have nothing to do to... honestly everything u post there is just about what 99% of queensland drivers do....see stuff like that everyday up the m1 and back down going to n from work.why get so worked up over how he drives,i let ppl like that go past stuff them if they wana get through then go for it theyll get caught sooner or later why would i wana get involved with a wanker like that?,sure they mite get inocent ppl hurt or killed but why try be a smart ass and get involved or tap the breaks did it ever occur that he mite be a loops drugg crazy guy with a gun and if u slamed on the breaks get out and shoot u? ppl like that get and DO get caught sometime.

im pretty sure that u have and WILL break the road rules at some stage and will or have done simular things like he did.hell u mite be in a hurry one day and do it without knowing dont say u WONT coz u WILL at one stage. thats my useless 1 cent.

You're kidding, right?

I didnt cause anything, and I didnt do anything wrong. The law says you must have sufficent room on the vehicle infront of you to react to anything that may occour. If he decided he wanted to get so close he could reach out and feel up my ass, be it on his head the consequences if I decide I want to slow down.... I was worried about cops and this guy was trying to push me to go faster. Also, I couldnt see shit from having his super-bright blue lights in all my mirrors.

Id do it again in the same circumstances. I cant fkn stand ppl who tailgate me... Whats more, it was what, 3 lanes in the middle of the night, we were the only cars on the road, there was *NO* reason why he couldnt go around me... So stuff him.

Yeah dude, everyone brake checks at least once just to let the person know, 'hey your a tad close'. If he hit the brakes too hard to suit the conditions then thats on his head. Better he does that than rams you up the arse in to the back of a truck.

heh good point, but thats not the point. the point is brake checking its fun. there is nothing illegal about it nor is there anythin dangerous about it really, ha well there shouldnt be cause they shouldnt be driving sooo close. you can put your brakes on whenever you want, whether there is somene there or not, snot up to you the make the person behind you drive properly.

geeteaess_turbo - he didnt cause an accident, he was preventing an accident involving him. well thats the way i see it.

simple road warfare...if you tailgate your silly, it is the same as not pulling out if your not wearing a condom, if you dont you regret it, if nothing happens then your damn lucky...

good morning.

lol. amen.

i love theses people who come in here and stir up shit.just like the ones who post up car acidents and flame people on here about it.

i agree with part of your argument. some people drive like tools.

the old brake tapping trick only eggs them on.

just slow down till they pass.

thats there problem and if you feel strongly enough go to the police with your "ilegally obtained evidance" and try to get them pinned. go to court get labeld as a do-gooder and trouble maker

this driver will slip up one day. its only a matter of time. its his life and licence. endangering lives of everyone around him aswell.

all at the same time further giving us a bad rep. seriously find something better to do.

or.. just join the force and you can get paid to do this :D

    • Hello, sorry for being late to join the discussion, but my clock just died on me.   Ive tried to look at Michaels digital clock repair.docx and it doesnt work maybe the file has expired.   Please let me know if you can re upload it or take some youtube videos to show us how to get the clock installed? thanks
    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. Rb25det s1 walbro255 fuel pump nismo fpr holset hx35 turbo fmic 3" exhaust freddy intake manifold q45tb q45 maf   Re: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Fri Apr 12, 2013 5:07 am No, I didn't. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
