When/What:

Every Thursday/Friday night

There are Motorkhana and Burnout events every Thursday and Friday night and we encourage drift cars to participate on both these nights.

2nd Thursday of each month

They run a "Hot Imports Night" which gives the Import car owners a chance to get together on a monthly basis to socialise and compete in Motorkhana, Drifting and Burnouts.

NB. Pay your admission and the Motorkhana is free to enter.

Time: 6.00pm - 10.00pm (big crowd will mean later nights)

Spectator admission is Adults $8 Kids U/16 free.

Just a short note the drift and motorkhana is free on both Thursdays and Fridays after admission.

The cost for Burnout competitors is $5 on Thursdays and $15 for one or $25 for two on Fridays.

If you decide to compete in the burnouts and you don't have your Tyres we can help. Burnout tyres on rims are available for $15 per side rotated on and off your car or you can do it yourself for $10.

Erm, is it virtual drift or real drift? can you participate in the actual drifting part? What do u need the gear for, for the virtual drag/burnouts?

its all real mate u drive ur own car on a skid pan and do wat u want!!!

i went to the burnout night on friday that just passed, was with afew cousins/mates..

Wasnt the best, abit boring

Waited 15 minutes between cars to jump on the skidpan, crowd was restless

if they improved the organizing of cars/payment ($15 to enter), registration etc if would have a better atmosphere and everything would be free flowing

Visit www.dragtag.com.au and check out the pricing - it's all on there :(

Re: Organisation of the skidpan, they've only just started doing this sort of thing. Give it a few meetings and it'll be running like clockwork. Go have a go yourself and check out the rent-an-r32 on drag tag or circuit tag while you're there for $10!

Be careful around the drifting/burnout area. I don’t believe there is any insurance relating to those activities and safety is poor. Goggles would be good too if you like your eye sight.

If this is no longer the case I do apologize but the fact that they are still allowing unregistered cars makes me think otherwise.

My question is, where is the drifting done at Drag Tag????? Have they now built a track there or something??

There isn't even enough room to comfortably do controlled donuts in second gear on there... Its sized to suit burnouts only and MINOR drifting.

There is no way id bother taking a proper setup drift car there cos theres no room to do anything decent. Untill now all ive seen there is V8 statesmans etc doing burnouts on the brakes...

Can someone confirm the area has been extended or these guys have built a track for circuit/drift application?

Thanks!

    • I couldn't agree more. I should have started from the get-go with a NEO or solid bucket conversion. I started looking into converting over to solid lifters yesterday. Now for some reason I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  But I see no mention of this on any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must me missing something?
    • BRUH, one of the biggest mistakes of my life..... and i've had plenty ;[)
    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.
