I know it's not very exciting for you guys but I thought I'd post it anyhow.

I achieved a new fastest ET today at 13.330 @ 104.22mph.

That is in full street trim incl. normal tyre pressure, spare in, sub-box etc in, 3/4 tank of fuel, no fuel additives & normal street tyres (not even semi-slicks). Just set up as my normal daily driver.

Very nice Andy! Soon to see 12's mate.

OK time to spill the beans Matt/Pawley!!! What is this new white 32!? Let me guess it's a 32 GTS-t with RB26 power? Regardless of what it is - how quick did Terry/JMS get it down the 1/4?

Oh & how did Ben go? (Yellow RPM Supra)

shit sorry you're right MattR - stupid me .... that timeslip was actually against MattR's current morone R32 (= plenty of wheel spin) .... my actual run against the Supra was :

13.345 @ 104.38mph

vs black (stock) TT Supra (not the RPM one)

14.622 @ 102.31mph

:P

Cmon MattR .... tell the boys what you're pretty new beast ran - I'm not gonna kiss and tell either!

Thats not boring at all nighty! very good result & worth all the effort & waiting around. 13.3 is pretty good when you consider that I ran 13.1 in Big Paul's black R34 GTR @ 106mph (car worth

$100,000+) & 13.4 @ 105 in EVO 7 (car worth $80,000+) also

both these cars are 4WD so have traction advantage.

Only a couple of tenths/mph behind them - I'd say you are onto a good thing.Keep up the good work.

C'mon MattR - where are you - tell the good people what up with your new car. Whatsisname, it's an R33 rb25det in an R32 GTSt.

AND, yesterday it pulled a **.** @ *** mph.

John,

Yeah I've already managed to piece together almost all of the details on MattR's new car :D

308rwkw @ 1.4bar (dropping to 1.2bar) TD06 RB25DET in a white R32 GTS-t with multiple fancy bits already fitted (including the 25DET & R33 g/box).

The only bit I haven't already read elsewhere on the forums is the 1X.XX @ XXXmph bit :)

The "best" way to make a R32 GTS-t seriously quick - stick an RB25DET in it. Relax everyone I'm just j/king (sort of) :)

SO you mean it has these goodies as per JMS webpage?

"250-300kw R32 GTS-T with modified RB25DET, GTR Rear, R33 G/Box, Trust TD-06 Turbo, GTR Body Kit, R33 Brakes, New OS Twin Plate Clutch, Apex Cooler etc"

Beans hav been spilt. The tension was killing me..

Dont be shy matt... what'd she run

White 32 308kw at thewheels at 1.2bar. 11.317 at 122.36mph.

The engine is a RB25det out of a 98 skyline same as the gearbox. Its got a tdo6 550cc injectors Mick made the plenum (the same as what was on his sub zero car) It has got a custom one piece tailshaft instead of the two piece. The whole rear cradle is out of a 32gtr. Its running microtech computer complete with hand controller and turbosmart boost duel boost controller.

I think I will have a big problen with traction, Ill have to run 540s all the time I think. Hope this helps. Ill have it at the morpowa dyno day

What an upgrade Matt! Well done :D

11.317 @ 122.36 is flying! I think that puts the car very close to, if not on top, in the HPI drag list for RWD over 2400cc!?

Matty Lowth ran his ~320rwkw RB30DET GTS25t a few days back. 12.3 @ 123+mph (2.3 60ft & slipping clutch) The mph on both Matt's cars is very close!

I think it is on top of the list. Ill give it a good run on the 31st and see what I can do there. The 60' was 1.670, 330' was 4.746, 660' was 7.288 @ 96.09mph, and the 1000' was 9.476.

The reaction time was a bit slow at .798. Its just a pity I wasent driving it. All my r/t's have been between .4 And .5 in my old car

    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
