Cefiro Auto To Rb20manual Conversion

conversion is sweet ...however the gearbox or something gives a slight whining noise as i accelerate over about 2000rpm or so

please help anyone????cheers

well as far as a manual conversion goes theres nerver any problems wit da grears coz of da conversion..... only da condition of da gear box

i dont no shit about da rb manual gear box..... coz i got auto

so sum1 dat has 1 can tell u if dats da normal case wit manual rb box's..... or u mite need a reco' /change box but i highly dout dat coz its only a slight wine

cheers for your reply.....very weird caus i got box from importer in perfect nick and da snycros are all good and gearbox very smooth but just whines a bit .....also cant seem to adjust travel on clutch properly seems to be slipping or riding clutch a bit but not actually riding it with my foot like it always is constantly slightly engaging even when foot off .......

i dont understand...wtf

oh well might have to take it to someone who knows... so frustrating when you just want shit to work and enjoy car

Did you run the clutch in properly??Sounds like the clutch is either faultly or you didnt run it in and it is glazed,therefore it is slipping..As for the box,I went through 2 rb20 boxes and both of them had a fair sort of a whine under power.

i only manual converted 2 days ago with new clutch so i think it is still running in ..???

gears seem to whine a bit under load at about 2000rpm or more or less but doesnt sound like gear box is stuffed just didnt expect it to whine ..i wonder if there is anything else which could make it whine..?

thanks for your advice i will have to look into it further

also the stupid clutch pedal sticks a bit when it comes out ...every now and then

oh well ...ill see what happens i guess...cheers
