r33's have a good interior everything is simple and where it should be,

i must say for a jap coupe they are very roomy. even the back seats have a decent amount of room and im 6'1

edit: i also think we need an entire new set of jap cars with new names. like this thing, i reckon its pretty cool

i dont think its that bad a thing to expand and concentrate on the sti like mitsi have done with the evos

Mitsubishi are coming out with an Evo IX replacement (EVO X) with an all new engine and body design A N D a Lancer GSR (baby evo with the old 4G63) for the world market - it was to compete with the WRX throughout the world

Now Mitsubishi will have a nice market all to itself if Subaru don't bring out a WRX - which I find hard to believe

if they could add some strength to the cogbox they would be frign awsome. go back to forged internals on the sti and you could have a real winner. just add 2 cylenders, take it to 3 lt capacity and you would have one hela street machine... they already have a 3.0 ltr flat 6, why not do the r & d for a turbo variant....

gorgous !

I'm trying to work out what the marketing logic is. Maybe they want to drop the price of the Liberty GT, but don't want the "premium" turbo sedan to undercut the WRX? Dunno, grasping at straws here...

Inside they are pretty cheap and nasty.

I recently sat in a Proton Gen2. The interior of that car has redefined cheap and nasty in my books.

The WRX was a flop in japan, the legacy is a far more impressive car and priced very close to the wrx in their home market.... boy racer cars have got a fairly strong "geek" stigma about them over the past few years hence poor jdm sales, the legacy though has been a great success and the amount of variants they get it suits most buyers except the very few who bought wrx's.

this "geek" stigma is starting to wory even the big aftermarket companies like BLITZ and TRUST etc... being a geek is not good for sales....

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
