oooh paintball...never again!!!

call me a big girls blouse :) but the pain I went thru last time i went was enough to NEVER go back ;)

I had a welt the size of a tennis ball on my back, from some Rambo who decided he'd shoot me from close range (not allowed) plus broken skin all over my hands and massive bruises on my arms.

...not trying to put anyone off going or anything...errr it's fun..really! :D

i went there about 6-9 months ago

trust me they aint small bruises. on one course they have big cyliders about 3-4m high and for some reason the paintballs curve around them about 30-40cm. i was standing behind one and a ball curled around and got me right in the neck (if you dont know u have no protection on ur neck). felt really good.

anyway its soooo much fun. i urge evryone to go. its pretty phsical and hard work but god is it fun. when you aiming up a target with your gun and the person has no idea that ur going to fire 10 rounds right into them....oh the joy :headshot:

Kebab count me in also, nothin like a bit of violent shootin of each other to get the group together :P

Although there is one condition....... Merli (andrew) is on the other team so i can pulverise his body into the seven colours of the rainbow, ahaha. :shake:

I been heaps of times and can say that if u dont like gettin hurt, stay home and watch OPRAH!!! Last time i went i ended up with stiches in my leg..... this tends to happen when u dive for cover into a fence

Neways let us know when u kneed the money by!!!

Cheers,

Ando

300paint balls will last you about.. 2maps

i played paintball a few weeks ago and some people used 200balls on the first round (2rounds per map) we were meant to spend a whole day there we lasted half a day and that was on about 600-700 paintballs each and that was if you wernt trigger happy..

so you guys better prepare on buying a lot of extra balls.

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
