Factory Bov In R34

I just installed a Turbotech MBC and set it to about 11psi. It works really well and seems to hold boost rock steady until it gets to about 5k RPM then just starts to drop off suddenly (by about 3 or 4psi). Could this be the factory BOV venting the boost when it shouldn't be due a fault with the strength of the spring in it?

My car does the same, in my case it's the wastegate giving out with the highflow

This is because the stock turbo runs out of puff....

Oh I though the turbo would have been able to flow enough for that. Might have to look at getting Slide highflow at some point Thanks for the feedback.

Will be some sort of restriction.

You need to list your other mods for us to be of any help at all.

Nope no other fluttering noises, the stock bov sounds completly normal.

Other mods are split dump / front pipe, metal high flow cat, 3" cat back, apexi pod, and the turbotech MBC which from other peoples reports typically holds boost dead flat to redline.

you need to get a cooler mate, that way you could hold boost or even more, increase it

I thought the R34 SMIC's were supposed to be good up to 200rwkw's? It was a bloody hot day though when I was testing yesterday!

My BOV flutters its ass off at above 10 psi.

I have videos to prove it lol.

But I also have it plumbed back into a 4 inch intake. (GT30r turbo)
