dunno if you guys have heard of this but my mate in the gtir (what knida car is that?) club sent this.

"Hey guys, as i posted on the Fast Fours forum, alot of us is organising a

massive cruise to Bathurst on the 15th June...

Its for the kids at Canteen and for a couple of bucks each, help out hey and

by a bandana and support sick kids. This cruise is fully legit and all money

will be going to Canteen. They know about the cruise and fast fours members

have been in

contact and got the go ahead.

Meeting place is Merrylands Pools Carpark which is a massive carpark for a

8am meetup, 9am on the dot departure! :P

Alot of clubs will be attending hopefully, such as guys from Redline GTi

forums, (Swift GTi's), RSX Forums (Integra Type-R's and other Honda's) Team

Ground Zero and basically everyone else! :(

Its for a good cause and i hope to see as many Club GTi Sydney Members going

and enjoying the day out..

Once reaching Bathurst, there will be a BBQ on top of the mountain

(hopefully as we are organising it a.t.m) and as part of the deal with

Canteen, they requested some police presence at the meeting point so we all

dont act like hoons, which i have contacted and have been giving the go

ahead and its all cool, however, you drive like a fool and **** up, you get

caught simple as that. yes i know, the cops, but hey, its part of the deal!

:):) and cops love to help out the kids as much as we do anyway so it all

should be good! :)

For more details, log onto the fast fours forums, on

http://forums.fastfours.com.au and check out the clubs/events section!"

shall we go? Dan?

sounds great bigvis! i havent been on a big cruise for ages and the more legit the better! but i still can't help thinking its defect haven for cops...not that my car is defectable or anything...but it shouldnt deter us - lets do it for the kids!

im in :O

Hey Guys,

I think that this would be a good opportunity to;

A) Help some Kids for a good cause

B) Spread the word about the club and

C) Show the Cops that Skylines are WELL BEHAVED when on the road.

I'll look into it or help bigvis look into it.

Keep posting if your coming.

Sorry I accidentally started another topic about this in events.

Hi Mark,

My name is Dan, I'm the "official SAU events" coordinator. I have posted already in the fast fours forums but feel free to take control of this one if you want... I have plenty happening atm so any help would be appreaciated.

Prankster... would you like to handle this one... or will we give it to our membership guru?

The attention from the police was my concern also, however because its not a big holiday weekend I doubt there will be much un-necessary attention.

Also there will be alot of cars, so safety in numbers.

As for membership, already on the case. For those who are reading whom are yet to sign up as members of the fantastic skylines nsw club, then you should. PM me and we can discuss.

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
