People tend to forget the first role of the air filter. It's is to FILTER air. Some of the higher flowing ones don't filter out as much dirt in the air, but give high HP readings. Restrictive ones don't give as much HP.

There's no need to spend big bucks on air filters because they give only a few KW's of difference, which you won't feel!!! Who can tell the difference if their car has 0.8kw more?

From experience, the HKS flow good, but it lets too much dirt get inside. Plus the filter paper is not re-usable. The Blitz filters are expensive and also let in a far amount of dirt. The best one I've used so far is K&N, but just be careful not to use too much oil when re-washing it. Don't know much about the rush ones though.

Why not mention Apexi ??

That's what I'm using and its a perfect mixture of all the above.

The airflow is just below HKS (but better than the other two), noise is super sweet and top durability.

and yeh cost does sorta come in..

damn i forgot to ask how much they are...

if any1 knows please post it..

Just bought a new pod = $220.

Apexi Kit (incl. pod) = around $380 + whatever small mods required.

- K&N are the loudest (also heard many K&N filters and theyre damn loud)

- Apex'i are a piece of crap

Well according to that test the apexi one came out on top. With an excellent filtration result and the most power gains.

why's that? from that website, it looks to be the top performer. I had a k&n filter, and it had a VERY loud induction noise, and a long/deep sometimes high pitched intercooler noise.

Apex'i are behind only to HKS and maybe Trust.

They are better than K&N in performance.

The sound they produce is stunning just listen to my car!!

Put it this way. Anything over the stock box is going to be better.

If your willing to spend $300 then go the HKS, if cost is holding

back then go the K&N which is about $150.

I use a Trust Airinx panel filter inmy modified airbox. Works fine, cleans well and sounds good. If i was to buy another one, I'd get a KN, just reckon there made better

Well I was looking at the Blitz filter, but after reading that test i'm gunna look into the A'pexi one. That test seemed pretty straight forward and the results speak for themselves. It's not ALL about performance...well ok it is mostly, but I still want a pod FILTER...not bit of plastic letting all bits of crap into my turbo and motor and everything else.
