Ive heard of a "NORMAL" catch tank not working properly.

Im talking something like the nismo catch tank, why is it setup like that?

no such thing...catch can is a catch can...doesnt matter what brand...most race tanks are custom made.

Depends on useage too, for non return systems CAMS require a 2litre capacity. The average streeter could get away with a 1litre one... horses for courses.

I do. The only advantage of the Nismo unit is it automatically returns the oil to the sump & it has no external breather meaning no oily film all over your engine bay.

Cams only requires 2 litres for proper competitionc ars. They don;t care so much for Sprint events, hillclimbs etc.

Mines a no-brander, returns to sump & has a breather on it too...300+KW but i dont see why a big HP catch should be any different to a stock GTR.

Thats because there is no difference. Only differences in catch cans is how they work. Some hold the oil...some return it to the sump and some just sit there and look pretty cause the guy who has it has no idea what its there for.
