If it is your first offense, how hard it it to write a letter and get a warning instead?

Anyone done something like that? Or you just went and paid?

I know of people who have done that and have had the fine dropped all together.

Hmm, they didn't change that to did they? it's still 3 km/h leeway in vic right? ( i know it is in the other states )

If the speed on the fine is 69, the 3 extra kph have already been deducted.

EG, he would have been clocked at 72 to get a fine for 69.

If you have a full licence and a clean driving record, it's not a problem.

You can ask to recieve a warning instead of a fine based on previous good driving behaviour.

i got one the other day a 3 pointer....so i social engineered the misses into excepting it for me,

You do realise that's illegal..... right?

...and yet you post up the information on a public forum which is frequented by Police?

Well done

pmsl..... i got one the other day a 3 pointer....so i social engineered the misses into excepting it for me,

as she dosnt drive and ive been driving her around for 15yrs now and never asked for a thing in return hehe.

its been worth the week of abuse .

I would delete this ASAP if u dont wont to get done for contempt of court

lmao.....your to paranoid,

if anything happens about what i wrote you'll be the first to know lol.

Besides if it worked like that.... every person in this forum that has posted up mods of any kind that would be considered illegal would be on a database and raped on site,

they wouldnt even have to open your bonnet half the time.

And they would come in every now and again, but i think if they were smart... all they would be interrested in looking at are the cruise and mods sections mostly.

u have no idea mate..... they do have a database and if they ever identify u, ur ****ed, i wouldnt go so far to say that they are smart tho, otherwise they would spend there time on more productive matters

for the database to work, wouldn't they at least need to see a pic of your car with rego showing?

or know of a VERY unique feature? like that tool at ns.com with the ONLY convertible S15 in melb.... ah derr...

ummmm "you have no idea mate"

this comming from a guy that said "done for contempt of court"

=contempt of court=

Willful disobedience to or open disrespect for the rules or orders of a court (contempt of court) or the deliberate obstruction of a court's proceedings by refusing to obey a court order or by interfering with court procedures. Contempt of court can be punished by fine, imprisonment, or both.

ROFLMAO...

k do you for 1 min realise just how many guys are talking about their illegal car mods they are running or have almost completed in this place everyday??.... along with a shot of their car, plates, completion dates and workshops they are being done at ect ect.

Now do i see you in thoes threads carrying on like this?/?.

think about this... do you think that the cops would be keen to track 1 person down for what i apparently did, or 20 people that are easier to track down with highly dangerous illeagal mods on their cars that are planning to hit the roads anyday now....and put every man, woman and child at risk, which are on the road at the same time as these people??

Buddy just relax kick back and have a read and a laugh...you might even learn a thing or two along the way.

oh yeh b4 i forget i just reinstalled my PFC,AVCR,air pods and catless turbo back exhaust today,

cant wait to have a few runs tomorrow on the expressway to see if i cant break my 245kmph record j/k.

and i would think if they really want you, there is nothing stopping them from obtaining records of your connections to this site, tracking it back to your ISP and getting the details of the account holder that was using that static IP address at that time, than a little crossreferencing to eliminate any dought that the connection was made through the suspected account, and Bobs your uncle.

^ ah yeah.... ISP, IP addresses and stuff... i guess that makes sense. Seems like an awful lot of hassle... maybe if the offence was big enough.

I think my internet works on a dynamic address though...

    • LOL.... a good amount of people (not all) on that continent seem to know everything and like to measure things in bananas, football fields, statue of liberties instead of the metric system lol.
    • I assume the modules are similar enough, so if you've had no issues I don't see why I would. I have tried to find a wiring diagram for the FPCM / fuel pump circuit, but I can't find it anywhere. Otherwise, I would just do some wire cutting and joining at the FPCM and give the 12 V supplied to the FPCM directly to the pump instead. If you know anyone that could help with wiring diagrams, I'd be very happy
    • If it dies, then bypass. The task isn't difficult. I have one running on a standard R32 FPCM. That's after nearly 20 years of it running an 040, which pull substantially more current than the Walbro. They're not the same module, but I'd hope it indicates that the R33 one should be man enough for the job. I think people kill them when putting proper sized pumps on them, not these little toy pumps we're talking about here.
    • Silicone spray won't hurt anything. And if it does, that's an opportunity to put some solid steel spherical bushings in, so you can really learn what suspension noise sounds like, If you're going to try it, just spray one bush at a time, so you can work out which one is actually noisy. My best guess is that if the noise started only since putting the coilovers in, then it is just noise being transmitted up through the top mounts of the struts, and not necessarily "new" noise from bushes. But it's almost impossible to know.
    • Are you saying the 34 is SUV height, and not that we're talking about an SUV here? (because if we're talking about an SUV, you don't fix them. You just replace them when something breaks. Not worth establishing sufficient emotional connection with an SUV to warrant doing any work on one). I wouldn't jack my car up on a short little loop of 10mm steel rod poking out through a hole in the bumper bar, front or rear end. I realise that we're probably not talking about that type of loop at the front, being the one under/behind the bar on a Skyline.... but even for that one, trying to jack up on what amounts to a thin piece of steel, designed purely for withstanding a horizontal tension force, not a vertical compressive force (and so would be prone to buckling/crushing) and, my most particular bitch about it - located RIGHT AT THE EXTREME FRONT OF THE CAR, applying a load up through the radiator support panel, etc, with almost the entire mass of the car cantilevered between there and the rear wheels? Nope. Not doing that. Not on the regular. That structure out there in front of the front crossmember is not designed to carry load in the vertical direction. Not really designed to carry any load at all, really. The chassis rail that the tow point is connected to would be fine loaded in tension, as per towing. Not intended to carry the mass of the whole car, especially loaded all on one rail, with twisting and all sorts of shitty load distribution going on. No, I will happily drive up on some pieces of wood, thanks. That can only happen on driven wheels, and they are at the other end of the car, and this problem does not exist at that end of the car. And even then, I have been known to drive up on at least 1x piece of 2x8 each side at the rear, simply to reduce the amount of jack pumping necessary to get the car up high enough for the jack stands. What really really shits me about Skylines is the lack of decent places for chassis stands at either end of the car. You'd think they'd be designed into the crossmembers.
