Transmissions are, gearboxes aren't.

U could b rite?

i wood tend to think that transmissions would include diff's and tramsfer cayses

anyway they r only a trated up Magna

Oh well, may as well add my asshole (I mean opinion) to the thread.

I looked seriously at one of these, I mean I could buy one for half the cost of my stag. The again, you can buy most Mitsubishi's at half the price of a decent car. Just 'cos it has a similar spec doesn't mean it's the same. I would never dare to compare the mitsubishi build quality with that of Nissan. Besides, that the AYC is REALLY expensive when it goes wrong. And I have never liked the idea of a transverse engined 4WD. It kinda makes it seem like an afterthought IMO. As for the front end...... some people reckon it looks shark like. I reckon it looks like a pussy car. I know the Stagea is heavier, but when I saw poor robs front end ripped off the green machine, without the rest of the car being damaged, well that did it for me...... I don't think anything but the stag woudl have survived that, nor Rob. The fact that the shell has a built-in roll cage, and the ATESSA is freakin awsome. I cant get mine to even spin a wheel in the wet, not even on a corner, (wearing 245 x 18's). When we first got it I was hesitant to let my wife drive it as it had 280hp..... now I woudln't let her drive anything else. I know that she is in one of the safest cars made. (Hmmmm is it starting to sound like a Volvo ad)!! As for the sound of the Turbo spool... I still find myself looking in the mirror thinking I have a cop up my arse!! LOL It sounds like a siren. I have owned 3 Mitsi's and in a word they are good cheap cars, but they loose their value fast. The Legnum's aren't in the Stagea's league.

Anyway who wants to own bloody car that sounds like a vegetable!! :laughing-smiley-014:

Seriously, I saw a lot of these wagons in NZ on a not so recent recent trip before I discovered "NISSAN" & (never having seen them before), I thought they were a really cool wagon, had potential even, compared to the others getting around starting with F & C & T. Just my 2 bobs worth. :D

This is a "What you love about your Stagea" thread NOT a "lets argue like little children about which is better, Stageas or Legnums?" thread.

You've had your fun, and now it stops please, dont make me bring out the hairy mod stick.

Keep posts ON TOPIC!

lol!

What I love about my Stagea.

a) it is a crapload better looking than a mitsu Legnum

b) it handles better than a WRX wagon

c)It absorbs wrx's with my whole family on board and no one got hurt

i heard stagea's strangle kittens.

Thats funny........... :laughing-smiley-014:

what also got me about mine when I first got it was the centre console, how it opens up from both the passenger and drivwers side. Took a little while to figure out how to remove the lid completely but yeah.................thought it was a cool idea.

Mine's got the s2 console in it, so mine is like that too - it's tops! Confuses quite a few people, but it's so handy at the same time - makes it easier to see inside of.

    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.
    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
