Day 1 - Wednesday

After a long day of cars checking and parking in correct formation the day is done.

We have approx 25 cars in our stand in total and we have a big range of cars.

We have some very unique colours which is fantastic, we have dayle's well known DJJC R32 GTR.

Ron has an awesome new light green/champagne (i think) R32 GTR.

Tony has provied us with a nice clean V35 Skyline for our stand which is fantasic.

All the cars are locked in and the spaces are sorted, we have over 80m of space for SAU VIC.

Team SAU VIC plans to be on deck first thing approx 11am tomorrow morning for an action packed day.

Be sure to bring sunscreen, hats, and anything else you may need to enjoy the day.

The closest entry to the Autosalon stand is Gate 8 which is just opposite St Kilda and the walkway over Queens Rd.

Thanks to all those who helped organise the cars, tickets, event stuff and all the required gear to get this to how it is now.

See you all throughout the week for those who are coming to visit.

Attached are some quick snaps during setup

Day 2 - Thursday

Well the day started off to an absolute killer of a day thanks to the sun beating down on us early in the day.

After about 1 hour of sun team SAU VIC moved to some much needed shade for more club fun.

We have visits from the local school kids asking for more revving and comrpessor surge.

Jason (Hype33) easily won the booster noise of the day and the kids loved it.

The day included a helicopter demonstatration, demonstation of speed and other fun antics.

I even managed to get a quick chat with our SAU NSW (via phone) counterparts Paul & Stace from DirtGarage

We found a camflaged army guy and Kris just had to get a photo with him (shown below).

We had the promo chicks from the Vicroads personalised plates division come over for a chat n some happy snaps.

Tomorrow is an early start (approx 9am) for a big day of fun, antics, club display and great people (hope to see u there).

Day 3 - Friday

9:20am we arrive

9:25am I open my car and put keys in sarahs bag

9:25am We put the bag in my car

9:26am We realised the keys are locked in the car (r33s have auto relock if you dont start within 1 minute)

So that was a fun start to the day. Tried a few macgyver tricks to get into the car including my wallett, aasa card, some other misc bits.

Finally got into the car using a coat hanger around lunch time. Not easy to break into a Skyline with a coathanger thats for sure.

The day was a mixed bag weather day with rain in the morning, then sun, then rain, then sun and so on

We had the f1s out in the morning with a big wet jetspray behind the cars. Later in the day we had another demonstration of speed.

Porkas were out in the afternoon and every single one of them sounded exactly the same, not a single different.

Lots of school kids egging us on for more "revs" and boost noises. Got quiet a few good photos throughout the day.

Tomorrow is the main big day for us and the party night ahead

Day 4 - Saturday

The day was off to absolute crapola of day. It began bucketing down in brighton and then stopped about a minute later.

Go figure!! Prefect weather for the rest of the day which was ace, not a could in sight. Quiet a lot of us got mega sunburt.

The day was fast and loud as we had Qualifying for the F1 GP at full pace. Various events supplying great entertrainment

for the club during the day including raving to a WRX stereo system, unicycle riding, more drinks, a fun tram ride and silly people.

Lots more photos of the various events and antics during the day, which is always good. The day ended up around 5pm and we headed

to the casino for some dinner and drinks. The tram ride was an absolute pisser and well worth it. Drinks after dinner was pretty agressive

and the guys headed to the oxford for drinks and those drinks. Plently of yegabombs along the ride

Dayle's R32 won "Autosalon Magazine Editors Choice" and Ron's R32 won "Autosalon Smooth As Silk Paint". Well done guys, well deserved.

Day 5 - Sunday

The day was very hot and sunny. Lots of cool action throughout the day. We had F1 jets, helicopters, a big QANTAS jet fang over and some other trickery.

The race was fast and very loud and first place was taken by Kimi Raikkonen. We have taken stacks more photos and just over 700 for the whole week.

Too many funny moments and enjoyable experiences to list them all. Thanks to all those who helped out and had a good time.

    • Hello, sorry for being late to join the discussion, but my clock just died on me.   Ive tried to look at Michaels digital clock repair.docx and it doesnt work maybe the file has expired.   Please let me know if you can re upload it or take some youtube videos to show us how to get the clock installed? thanks
    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. Rb25det s1 walbro255 fuel pump nismo fpr holset hx35 turbo fmic 3" exhaust freddy intake manifold q45tb q45 maf   Re: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Fri Apr 12, 2013 5:07 am No, I didn't. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
