Yes it is true, they do fit!

If you are tall, this could be the perfect mod for you, they sit approximately 90mm (yes 90mm!) lower than the factory S1 seats. If you are any shorter than say 5'10" then you probably won't see enough bonnet so this is really only a good idea if you need the extra head room. And once you have seats with some support the suspension upgrades move way up the list, rather than sliding from side to side in the seat you can really feel the body roll!

They look good in the car too, IMO anyway, pictures now added.

Cheers

Luke

do you need to change the rails to GTR ones, or do you just use the stagea ones?

The factory rails on either Stagea or GTR are not removable, they are part of the seat base.

You use the complete GTR seat and bolt it straight in, but they sit alot lower as noted above

All R32, R33 and R34 GTR are interchangable. R34 GTT RWD are not as they have a different floor pan.

There maybe a remote chance a RWD Stagea floor pan could be different like the r34 GTT RWD is. This would have to be confirmed. Also most people are not aware the RWD Stagea has different front strut towers than a 4WD Stagea, this is due to the different front suspension setup.

So, does this mean the seats aren't height adjustable the way the Stagea seats are?

If not, then I might stick with the stockies, but the the GTR seats sure do look the biz.

You could add these GTR material matching rear seat and door trims like these I have spare

Nice! look a little grubby... got any better shots? Is that the auction photo or yours?

Nice work Luke GTR seats are tough, i nearly bought some about a month ago but the guy sold the drivers side on me so there was no point me buying just a passenger.

Would you mind pming me where you got them and a price etc...

Cheers Simon

Ps. I'll prolly be heading down your way on monday or something, when ive made up my mind ill pm you anyway.

Gtr seats definately fit because I have a set of recaros for a gtr in my stagea.

I know the recaros are for a Stagea as when the car came into the uk the standard seats were in the recaro boxes with skyline written on them

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
