Hi guys,

I am after a VIN for a GENUINE R32 GTR N1.

Can you ask your mate if I can have it?

I need to order an N1 bar from Nissan, but they reckon I need a VIN from an N1, bcoz they can't find the part number!

Cheers!

:P

How can you tell?

Psychic powers?

Because the KBNR32RXFSLM2G build identifier is the same as for the early R32 Gt_R's The N1 editions had completely different sequences.

There is NO DIFFERENCE between an N1 bar & that for a Nismo version. Apart from the slots & the intercooler mesh there is no difference between the N1 version & the ordinary GT-R. So why do you want/need an N1 version (not that there is such a thing?)

Actually, you are right, I want a NISMO front bar. But I can't find a part number or a suitable VIN to give to Nissan so they can order it. They reckon they are having trouble finding a part number themselves, gave me some crap about just getting a stock bar and buying vents seperate, which i think is silly. I prefer a factory one.....

So any help would be appreciated!

Cheers!

:)

haha.

hmm ok thanks guys.. shoot my hopes down lol.

it just seemed weird having the same N1 stuff as my mates N1. apart from he has red stitching GTR seats, red stitching wheel and shifter. and thats it.

well thanks guys

how do u check what items are optioned from factory?

cause i was told that everything on my GTR was from factory.. :) (better not be just salesperson talk)

When you get the number let me know, im after one of these nismo bars too.

Cheers

u talking about the vents..? thats for V-spec and only an option. the N1 GTR my mate has no intercooler vents.

also mate ur avatar is top stuff i love the way it doesnt crumble it just bounces off the wall..

and look at it understeer.

I am clearly missing something here. I gave you the build number of a NISMO edition R32 GT-R in the other thread. They were the evolution model that the group A cars was officially based on. They had all the extra bits of spoilers/cut outs etc. If there is any difference between the part numbers for the front spoiler on that & the povvo pack GT-R it will show up. My thing has the slots in the front bumper. They are nothing special - you just need to trim the bumper to suit. Other than the holes the bumper is exactly the same. They aren't at all hard to put in as there is nothing behind the bumper on that location.

If you want NISMO bling there are tonnes of other bits & pieces they make. Most of it is hideously expensive.

In all honesty the Nismo add ons are nothing special in terms of quality. The extra spolier bits warp, distort & bend & generally look pretty awful after a few years. I have bought an after market replica of the rear lip spoiler on the back of how bloody terrible my Nismo item looks. Carbon fibre generally looks prettier than plastic in any case. :)

As far as I know the only option you could get on your standard R32 GT-R were heated external mirrors....

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
