r32line, is that Alex's car in the middle?

Yeah, he said you bought like steering wheel boss off him a while ago. I really like your car man, I wish I had the balls to make mine that low!

You should come for a drive with us some time.

^^^^ wow....secks!!

the black on on our left has the same rims as me!!

Yeah that is my 32. I really like them rims. One of them has bad gutter rash atm after a slight mis-hap on my behalf, but its not hard to fix - otherwise though I really like the rims, really simple and clean like the rest of the car.

*Edit - Although it looks it in the photo, its not actually black, I had it resprayed gun metal grey with blank tint so it looks darker. Quite happy with the result actually!

Yeah I bought a boss kit of him, very nice guy.

He came and had a look at my car when it arrived from Japan. :)

Would love to cruise with you guys one day man, just need to get the car complianced and on the road. Keep wasting my money on modifications that I cant even use yet lol

Hahah only reason I have it that low is because I am on an unregistered vehicle permit so cops cant do shit.

I lowered it a little more onto some stock R33 wheels which I put on for compliance, looks fair tuff. Will raise it up after compliance for more drive ability on the rims, its hard to get around with it that low.

Abu

I always thought it was already on the road.

I know what you mean when you say spending money on modifications you can't even use. I've spent a lot on my car to find out that I can't even drive it until I'm 21 (about 4 years time). I thought I was going to be able to drive the car on my Ps, but I can't. I hate these laws. :)

Yeah new laws are shit, there wrecking it for everyone.

I'm still on P's till June 2008, but I don't care even if it does effect me.

I've been driving all types of cars anyways lol

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
