***SOLD***

Dont really want to sell them, but with a change in the domestic situation need to move the bulky gear laying around the apartment.

Selling because i only need a single set of rims, so going to keep my track rims which are the same width meaning i can rotate tyres. The LMs were to be my street rim , though i never got around to fitting them.

Wheels Sizes

Front - 17 x 8.5 +40 offset

Rear - 17 x 9.5 + 36 offset

These rims are awesome and are super light-weight.

They have been powder coated by the same person that has done my 19" rims. My powder coat has lasted 3yrs (so far), including track days where wheels get pretty hot, without fade, bubbling or cracking.

All the best Bris!

Damn, i wish i had that sort of money! Those wheels are awesome - It would be a dream if i had them fitted on my car.

I believe that same person also powdercoated my standard wheels. He done an awesome job.

All the best with the sale, too bad you have to let them go. Whoever purchased them will be mega lucky.

Cheers,

Steve.

  • 3 months later...

Silly me purchased another set of rims...so i now have a set on my car, a set in my bedroom and the LMs in the lounge room. So if you are serious then touch base with me...depending on my mood on the day my price could be flexible

how would those offsets go on a 33 gts-t

my mate has 18x8 +35 on the front and 18x9 +35 on the rear...his rears look mad so these rears would probably sit the same, but his fronts would look better if they sat out maybe 5mm more so would these sit in even further?

Ok, some quick thinking. The fronts are 12.7mm wider with 5mm more offset. So the result will be that these will sit in about 2mm closer to the shock and sit about 12mm further out. So sonce these will sit out about 12mm more, then thats 7mm mroe then what you are thinking.

Hope that helps.

nope...just confused me... I thought +40 sat inside more than +35..and +30 meant they'd further outwards....?

Yep, +40 sits further in. But you said your friends were 8" wide fronts. Mine are 8.5" so are half an inch wider. So they in turn will sit out more then your friends, with only a smidgen less clearance on the inside

damn 17" wheels are ultra hard to sell these days - if they were 18s they would be gone in a flash. If you get desperate to sell, fire me a PM Roy - unfortunately for you I have recently bought some gold WORK Gram Lights for my R34 - if I hadn't bought these I would buy yours in a flash. Other problem is that I have a set of ROH Blades, a set of Enkei Circlars, a set of R33 stockies, and a set of R32 stockies sitting around too - the wife might divorce me if I buy another set. However if they were the right price I wouldn't be able to resist.

ah damn..prolly sit out too far on a 33 gts-t then

If they fit an R32 GTSt then they woudl be ok on an R33 which swallows most rims that struggle to fit on an R32 GTSt.

Yeh, 17" wheels arent really the flavour of the month anymore. But i dont want bigger, just more weight and expense. For me a nice light 17" wheel with nice good rubber on it, reasonably wide as they are 8.5" and 9.5" wide is the go. they no longer suit my needs as i really need to be able to rotate my track tyres front to rear which means 8.5" wheels all round :D

I have to pop up to Sydney to do a few thngs. So if anyone wants free delivery and will pay the 2k then they can deliver them for free to metro Syd on Wed afternoon. Only Wed though

Can I have them please? I have sent you a PM.

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
