hey guys

dont think iv posted in here before so a hello to everyone !!

at the moment im doin the usual searchin for parts and tryin to plan out everything, money, turbo, ecu and time..

ecu side of things iv decided to go with a emanage ultimate (if pfc doesnt pop up by then) just curious to know people's experiance with tuners in QLD..

i havnt had any tuning done before so new to this side of things (done most other things)

in a nut shell i just want to know where the best place is to get my tune? who has experiance with the new emange?

mercury comes straight to mind same with P.I.T.S down the coast but im more after the "best" tune

reason for this is im not sure who has played with the EMU before

im willing to travel not settle for whats closest !

any adivse or even anyone who is running one where did you get it tuned and were you happy

thanks for your time

Never been asked this question before...

Maby ask the distributor of Greddy in Australia "Who is the best" and see what they have to say???

But im sure Matt Spry tunes them, so Id be talking to him as he is also know as "Tuning God" in some circles... :D

yeah thats what i thought everyone ranks he very highly

i figure fork out once on a tune that is worth more than another and be happy, no point spending all the money if nothing is doin its part, plus i wanna try get the plug n play harness to save any troubles, apparently only problems ever caused were by wiring fault

thanks

If your after the best tune and willing to travel have a small holiday and get your car tuned at CRD

Yeah they are actually sponcers of the forums also, you can contact them via pm CLICK HERE.

They may also have an idea of a place more local...?

Any updates on this subject?

I've just picked up a emanage ultimate for a good price.

Looking to get it installed and would like 2 tunes (one for the daily driving).

Matt Spry would be my first choice, but I haven't spoken to anyone yet.

Would he be the one to do the install as well? R34 GTT has to be wired, no PnP :)

Im going to be getting an emanage ultimate in the next month or so as well - also interested to know of people's experiences with local tuners.

I know a guy who had this system and found it not very flexible to tune, he didnt like it so pulled it out and got a power fc.

a couple of things;

1) The PFC is everyone's 1st choice, but they don't make them anymore (for the 34 GTT) and if you can find one, the price is crazy.

2) emanage Blue vs emanage Ultimate. The earlier Blue seems to give a lot of people trouble! but after speaking to a few people at SEMA, I'm thinking the Ultimate will be ok for what I want.

There doesn't seem to be many 34 GTT in QLD with an EMU... I was hoping to get some more feedback from someone local.

I'm not 100% sure where he is, but his details will be on here somewhere!

i didnt think about the part with the Gtt not being able to use power fc, there are other alternatives like a haltec,Motec or EMS.

Yeah thats fair enough about the emu and the blue.I think the guy i kow had the blue emanage .

Matty is in Molendular near gold coast not far off broad beach, cant find his other details off the top of my head but im certain that more than one person will have them.

correct me if im wrong .. but the EMU and emange blue are all piggy back systems not a standalone computer most you can get out of these are fuel and air mixtures similar to SAFC NEO but a lil better ?? plus for Boost control options you'll need to use the E01 which plugs into both the EM ECU ..

Hey Vish, yes both are piggyback systems, but the ultimate has a lot more options than just fuel & air. for the money I think it's a good option.

There's some good info here, but not much discussion on QLD installers/tuners

Ipswich is where its at. Signature performance is the joint, Mick is his name. 32815281 is his number.

Several members rides including my own have been tuned by Mick with very good results.

    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
    • street use or race track, what hose size and why? what factors change with the hose size options ?   see most comon is an10. when you see most oem external coolers are closer to an12? does high volume oil pump like nitto need an12 or 10 be just fine
