The search function must be broken yes?

anyhoo - doesnt matter what anyone else is paying cause they arent you, you and your car are your own risk and eveyone else's premium and risk is irrelevent!

can lock thread now mods >_<

i dont want you to do it for me.... im looking at 4100 a year through just cars, i was just curious at who is with who and what there luck has bought them... and next time dont jump the gun, the search function worked fine but didnt reveal what i wanted !

You still have haven't told us if you are getting a R33 GT, GTS25T or GTR. This willl affect the insurance premium.

I pay $1,150 full comprehensive with Just Cars for a 33 GTS25T. Although I am a rating 1 driver for life and 26.

yeah im 18, its full comp unlimited modifications, its a gts25t with exhaust ecu stereo few others but was only 300 difference between stock and unlimited mods. they way i look at it, im safe if i happen to stuff ! even though the excess is 2600

fark 4k dont bother.

as for me:

r31 skyline non turbo

with RACV fullcomp $830 a year with $900 excess.

plus i have mods and can do pretty much any mod so long as it is legal.

and im 20 it has only gone up $30 with mods since i brought the car 2 years ago stock

Shop around. As much as you can.

Try:

Shannons

Just Car

Vigil

Famous

Ryno

etc etc

I have used Just Car, Shannons and Ryno. Shannons and Ryno have awesome policies. Shannons have an awesome claims service (I have used it for a not at fault accident). Ryno is cheaper than Shannons by a fair bit I have found. Just Car are expensive and excesses huge.

My experience.

R33 gtst - 28 - agreed value & all mods declared - oh yeah... clean driving history :P

VIGIL $850 per year - $500 excess

SUNCORP $890 per year - $500 excess + $800 modification excess

Suncorp are cheap (have pay by the month) I have noticed except for the excess.... especially on our other car (WRX)

18 & driving a turbo import equals premiums around $2-$3K or greater IMO - although I had a S13 silvia turbo when I was 18 and it was insured through Young & Cool for around $1400 per year from memory... could of been less

Have a read of the fine print on the policy, unlimited mods yes, illegal mods no

fark 4k dont bother.

Are you sure, when i got my 33 RACV wouldnt touch it because it more than two mods, suspension, wheels, ebc

BTW - i'm 33 rating 1 and have been for years

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
