Guys,

My baby was taken from me at 7am this morning, from my driveway in Burton, i heard it start and by the time i got to it, it was gone. They smashed the whole front drivers window, so it'll be missing.

Rego xxxxx[edit]. Please keep a look out, and phone police 131444 or 000 if you see it. I'd pay a big reward if someone caught the guy, and let me get to him before the cops.

I went to see Salisbury police face-to-face, they told me there was a breakin in Paralowie about 1.5 hrs earlier. So chances are the prick's done a few breakins before coming to my car, and driving it home (probably via cash converters), hopefully it shows up being dumped in a street somewhere.

I dont know if its just me, but Skylines seem to attract the wankers. I never feel safe leaving it anywhere, always having my valve caps stolen. If i dont get this one back, i dont think ill buy another skyline, attract too much bad attention!

The irony is that i was made to take a week of holidays this week, i didnt want to, but thought i could spend the time working on my car and getting a few things finished off. If i had of gone to work, i would have left about 15minutes before it got stolen.

Thanks for keeping ur eyes out guys.

what sort of alarm did you have?

from what i can gather from chris rodgers and george from adelaide pro sound, he was still getting quotes on his alarm =(

hope insurance covers it, most times they state that it HAS to have an alarm or theft isnt coverd =(

gl in finding it trav!! hope it turns up soon and un-injured for you!!!

Spewing dude, not good to hear!

I always say if my car goes missing i NEVER want it back, It's never the same after some c#%t has thrashed the shite out of it! Id rather start from scratch again! Hmmmm might make up a letter and put it in the glove box in the Att: whoever steals this car!! LOL

cant believe you (some) skyline drivers still don't have alarms if mine didn't come alarmed that was the first thing going on

and even though it was alarmed ive now got a better alarm Co- Ebay

so sorry to hear your misfortune there Trav and as Fishpaste pointed out most insurers sate if not properly alarm car isn't covered for theft

^^ lol so true Darren

(this is going to sound harsh - but ...) yep I agree with Steve - it is irresponsible people who don't put alarms in their Skylines that cause the rest of us to pay such high insurance premiums. How you could leave an un-alarmed R33 ANYWHERE, let alone in your driveway overnight without an alarm is totally beyond me. If you can't afford an alarm, don't buy such an attractive car. Even if you were looking at alarms, maybe you should have done that before you bought the car .... and then put a club lock, plus a flashing red led in your dash (2 minute job), plus park another car behind yours at night .... I hope you get it back man, and I hope everyone learns your lesson.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
