Sorry .. Does steering include a aftermarket steering wheel? I.E no air bag?

if your car came with a airbag in the steering wheel as standard, then it is a defect to replace the steering wheel with an aftermarket one

PPL FFS! I freaking searched both sites alright. Reason I made this post is because I am paranoid about losing any points, I have 2 more months to go before I get all my points back so I dont want to risk it. Plz note, one of the guys I spoke to about this was telling me how he LOST his 3 points cos of the pod defect and now he only has 1 point left etc etc. So the first thing I did was search RTA and SAU was second. I dont give 2 toss about the fine as long as I dont lose any points.

Hey... I wasn't having a go at you! I understand where you are coming from! The search engine can be finnicky with what words you use! It was the way others replied to a post.

Anyways if you are after an airbox... check this out... I got one on my car and it is not difficult to modify if you have different intake pipe .. .. I just shaved mine out a little.. The only thing is its cut to suit the small charcoal canisters and not the large ones I have seen on some lines!

ok. basicly anything that is not standard needs to be engineered from a legel standpoint.

and points for decects??? news to me. just like there is no points for driving an unregoed car. just a massive fine. for repeat ofences mayby???? but i t really depends on whos doing the busting. what if its not your car? fines yes, points i dought it. but will check

well thats pretty gay. so they cancel your rego too like they used to?? bastards

Back to the issue at hand, definatley no points for a Pod Filter, it is only a defective equipment ticket for $77 and a Defect Notice (no fine involved with D.N.).

The main issue with a Pod filter is the emission (noise issue) that the filter creates through the system. ie; less restriction as you know on the engine usually transfers as more noise out the back. The best way to tackle the issue of a Pod filter if the person really wants one (as you know if they are in the engine bay with no shielding from the engine bay heat and no cold air ducting then you may aswell not have it under there. Box it up

hmm.. the fine for having a pod is $150.. well that was 2 years ago.. i don't think they'd have taken it down... these people only increase fines

and brick - yuummm!!!!!!

Does sound weird but My best friend who works Highway Patrol in the Hunter valley just emailed me this information so for the fine to increase there must be add ons like in unsecured pod or too loud etc which I would believe that this would increase the fine.

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!
