Being the optimistic person that i am i like to think despite what happend today.... it was a good thing :P

As you all most likely know of the last 8 months i pretty much collected (apart from the engine) the front of a GTR :O as in Guards, Bar, Sides (technically not front i spose) and cooler.

I ended up selling the cooler to Adz and was going to sell the other bits and my car or give the parts away to the person who brought it...

plans changed thanks to a ****ing stupid bolt sticking up out of one of those concrete spacer things at the front of car parks... peice of crap!

As you can see the plastic bar is pretty much ****ed... so out of bordem (and the fact the front bar is rooted) i decided i would chuck those GTR parts on... and hence begins Project R :)

So far all ive done is removed the old front bar and left guard and put the left front GTR guard on.

Looks a bit odd with the stock wheels haha might have to see if i can get my hands on a pair of front GTR rims so the offset sits and makes it look proper.

Theres some minor rust on the front which i will fix while the front bar is off... nothing too hard.... just sand it back to shiny metal and give it a couple of nice coats of primer putty and black it.

wtf... when was this... y fix it 4? jus patch it up and keep it until you sell the car... so you don't run the risk of pranging it...

earlier today after i washed the car :O

meh... i got the parts here already why not wack em on.... get it all painted at once... if i can use my uncles next door neighbours spray equipment and garage it wont cost me a hell of a lot... plus i kinda wanna sell it knowing its in top condition.... im gonna miss it man.

EDITED***

anyway.... plastics not that easy to fix when its torn like that and wont last long unless plastic welded.

yup...

going to speak to the old man and see if he will lend me the money to get the R til i sell both my current cars... as well as borrow the money to paint and ready this for sale :O

i might atucally end up suing the shopping centre as my car is the legal height.

going down there to measure the height of that concrete thing with the bolt sticking out of it. My mum told me one of her friends sued a place that did that to her car cause there werent any warning signs to say they were even there.

why i dont want to own an R33 GTR.... i dont like them as much. If im going to own a GTR its going to be a 34 or 32.... seeing as i dont have 70k at the moment the 32 will have to do :P

If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
