would also like some location directions for

nismo , topsecret, superautobacs in either Tokyo or osaka

cheers

All of these have been covered before many times in these threads. Do a search.

Regarding Prince and what it has written on their website, its about 2 hours and 20 minutes from Shinjuku (Tokyo) on the Chuo HonSen line to Okadani then, from there 5 minutes by taxi.

Use http://www.jorudan.co.jp/english/norikae/ to help you plan your train trip.

Looks like the train from Shinjuku leaves only once, on the hour ever hour and is 6500yen one way. The train is called the "Azusa"

Regarding Top Secret's home base in Chiba...

This thing is pretty tough to get to if you don't have a car. It's located near Owada (Yachiyo city) just off Route 16 near a bunch of used car dealerships and fairly non-descript chain restaurants/businesses. I must've passed by this place a good ten times before and never realized it was there until last week, so it's not as "hard to miss" as some other people have noted. However, the shop can be seen from the street if you're heading northbound on RT 16 (towards Funabashi). I live Katsutadai, which is listed as being the closest station to there but I believe it's still quite far away. A solid 20 minute bike ride or a good 40 mins to an hour on foot. A taxi might be the best, but most expensive, way to get there, although I'd like to find out if there really is a bus that gets there too.

BTW- There's also an Upgarage and a used car dealership that specializes in tuned RX7s only about a km or two away.

yes, going nth on RT16 you can see it from the road, but only if you are looking out for it. if you were coming from funabashi then you'd miss it for sure as it would be conceiled behind the service station.

the easiest way to get to TS if you haven't been before and don't have a car is get mono-rail from chiba station and get off at sports centre monorail station, then get a cab heading north and keep an eye out for it so you can tell the cabbie when to stop. I have tried to get a bus out that way before but it was a bit of a mission and didn't work out so well. :) taxi will still be $20 or $30.

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
