Haha, just buy a turbo and cable tie it on. You need to upgrade a lot of things and theres a sh*t load of work involved. Pretty much it is just cheaper to buy an already turbo skyline, then to convert a non-turbo

This is a costly exercise as there is a lot more that requires changing than just adding a turbo.

DaGr81 has been down this path and I think that it cost him somewhere about $5k for the complete upgrade. Then you also need to change the wheels and hubs from 4 stud to 5 stud to update to GTS-T brakes to cope with the extra performance.

The cheaper option is to buy a GTS-T.

i have a turbo upgraded NA cefiro, i paid under 2K cos i did a lot of the work myself it could have been a lot cheaper than this but i went ALL OUT i'm talking high flowed injectors stainless manifolds n dumps etc,

to be honest unless you know a lot about cars and don't mind getting your hands dirty don't bother just trade your skyline for a turbo one to be honest

unless your non turbo model is immaculate. Like someone else said needs brakes too. Best bet is to buy a halfcut, then u get front hubs n brakes and a turbo engine (stronger internals etc) Then all u need is rear brakes. Then again this will cost around $4000+ depending where u source parts... and then u got a few grand in labour...

When u think about it. U can get a stock gts-t for $10,000 turbo manual these days. If your car is pretty good looking, rims, kit stereo etc.. Get a 10k loan, buy a new skyline already turbo, stock. Swap all your shizz over so u now have a deadly looking turbo skyline and sell ur non turbo one stock for $7500 to some random

People make it out to be a big job, but in reality, it's not really. Basically, manifold off, turbo mani on, plumbing for oil/water lines, dump/front pipe - exhaust etc. turbo ecu, i'd do turbo injectors too.

probably a fuel pump. brakes a cheap if you want to do them... etc

the price of doing it will vary greatly. and it depends on how much performance you want. if you just bolt the turbo on and don't touch the internals then you won't be able to run much boost (about stock boost). if you are wanting to run higher boost, or a bigger than stock turbo to get some performance then you will need to decompress the head.

I'm glad someone mentioned compression!!!!....geeeeesh!!! ...hehehe..

    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
