edit: actually no, lets save that one for another time, a time where I have no chance of losing. lol

Ha Ha your on.... but hey dont think the general SAU crowd would take kindly to my bikini clad body... except Andrew (nuttshunglow) of course!! :sorcerer:

SAME! It sucks because neither of you two come out to play anymore!

can't wait till winton.. can't wait till winton.. can't wait till winton!

ps the bet has been confirmed.... I think it's the third bet we've made on that particular show down lol

it's now a case of beer... ....oh and someone bring the chalk pen!

:whistling:

Im coming soon

Please clarify the 3 bets.... :)

1. Case of beer bought by loser for winner

2. Loser displays 'sign' on rear windscreen containing a 'msg'

3. ???????

hahahaha, i love how you put that, the innocent looking message will be not as innocent as you make it out to be

My cars had a few minor set backs but it'll still be on the trailer even with 0kms on the clock I really dont give toss.

Sucks the old engine leaked and carried on like a bitch but loved to be flogged the new one is so clean and leakless but it cant stand a good thrasshing without stuffing something.

Last time you guys came down you arrived around 7pm (which is fine).

I dont know what traffic is like in central syd around 8am (or the meet time) but you might want to leave earlier.

When we came to Syd last year we left melb at 4;30 and we were at wakefield by 3pm and that was spot on.

We had time to wind down, relax, sort out the rooms, have a few beers and chill before night time.

Just a thought, might be easier (and seem like less of a drive) if you kick off a few hours earlier.

That way when lunch time comes around your half way (or more) there so its less impact.

anna did you seriously go buy chalk pen things!!

Smokey knocked mine off last weekend I think.

nope.... got em couple of months ago for a planned revenge attack.... never happened and they are sitting in the garage collecting dust .......

Paul,

I put that idea to them around 11ty pages ago leaving much earlier - but everyone wants to leave at 8!

but then theres the coasties who have to travel alot longer to the meet point so earlier leave for them!

I'll go with the flow!

we should be ok as long as we keep moving and only have a few stops ...like breakfast, lunch and then in afternoon maybe!!!

Plus we know were we are going this time

My car was excellent on fuel last time!!! So wont need loads of fuel stops

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
