I've noticed a few other workshops opening up around the sunshine/ braybrook area and one of em have at least 20 skylines there and a wide body S13 silvia... interested to see feedback from that workshop actually

Try n stay away from mcintyre road

Your reffering to C&D Motorworks on Duke street they specialise in imports and dyno tuning.

And they've been around for several years. Their yellow wide-body S13 is getting featured in the next hot4's as a cover car!

your talking about CND motorworks...on Duke st?

LOL at Fred Brunos 500 hp 'GTS-R' R31 Sedan. haha....what a pisser.

Ahh the stories about that car!

Are you referring to the blue one?? When I first saw it, I asked him is that a GT-R - he replied yeah, of course it's our pride and joy! I looked at the brakes - says brembo - but they don't look like real brembos as the logo is not stamped on but painted on and they're way too small to brembos - then I looked the guards - not flared out like real GT-R's - I asked to look at the "awesome rb26" twin turbo engine - he said I can't due to "secret modifications" - man, don't know what to say... kinda lost my respect right there!

Man, know that I know he's not an authentic - authorised rep of NISMO International - I guess I won't be going there any more.

Guys, I need to get my car serviced soon - was wondering where do you guys get your cars serviced?

Regards,

I wouldn't take my car there for any work. From personal experience i visited once to get a quote on injector clean and flow test - They quoted me $80 for each injector, and had to be sent away for work. Bit of a joke considering i got them done for $30 ea. and got them back the same day in Airport West.

Having said that i haven't heard anything good referring to Nisma.

Where abouts in the west are ya? My mates and I take our cars to Banga @ Amal Motors (or something like that) in Deer Park behind BP (Ballarat Rd) for all our mechanical work.

Hes a straight up honest guy and isnt interested in having a fully sick name like other places! Great prices too!!

PM me if you want his number.

rav, you can trust many mechanics.. john bresciani hasnt got a full workshop with countless 9sec cars for no reason ay.. same with alan and billy rajab.. they dont hold the fastest vl in the country for no reason.. also the boys at creatd.. they arnt known for their grade a work for no reason..

ill let you guys decide who is a good mechanic and who are the monkeys..

    • So for the wide band is a Bosch 4.9 correct for the Link G4+ along with a Can bus? Just get the Link gear or is generic ok too? Eg here: LINK LINK DIGITAL WIDEBAND CAN MODULE WITH BOSCH 4.9 SENSOR : KYP Performance House
    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
