you will be heaps quicker ando. if you are doing 1:13s at wakefiel, but doing 1:58s at EC either you really love wakefield, or you were getting held back badly with the limiter at EC. 1:13s at wakefield should put you at around a 1:55 or lower at EC.

But that doesn't take into account his experiance at either track.

Wheels magazine (May 1991) Kevin Bartlett, in the stock GTR with street rubber rattled off a 1:56sec lap at EC. Just goes to show you what a good driving can do!!!!

1:13 was my second attempt @ Wakefield and doesnt have the long arse straight like E/C...

1:58 was 1st attempt with the car hitting speed delimiter before the pit entrence down the straight.. so plodding along the straight @ 170km/h would of been costing me a couple of secs me thinks...

All things going well, 2nd time round and speed delimiter removed i am hoping to hit 1:55's or lower....:(

Can't wait!

    • Yeah I made that post way too early, sorry I must have assumed it was bad because it's a 20+ year old thrashed shitbox lol. It was just a loose exhaust bolt.
    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
