I spent about $120 on a HDMI cable and the games look awesome some running in 1080. What dont you like about Resistance? I have finished it on easy but loved the story line and gameplay was amazing.

My games are

Resistance

Motorstorm - good

Ridge Racer 7

FEAR

GTA5 most probably wont be out till next year. Grand theft Auto 4 comes out in october and that looks to be something special.

resistance is a great game. Great battles with clever computer intelligence. On the high def plasma it looks awesome and has been the best ive played on ps3 so far. You also have to use your noggin a bit and cant just go in and blast everything to pieces haha

I agree I usually dont like first person shooters but I enjoyed Resistance and hear there is a sequel in the works too. Im trying to play Fear but it doesnt have the same playabilty as Resistance or the visuals.

Ridge Racer 7 is good fun if you take it as that an arcade game and not a simulator. Cant wait to get online and test out my skills against everyone else!

I got Resistance, Oblivion and Fear. All are pretty sweet and Oblivion got pretty addictive at one stage. I played The Darkness the other night at my mates on 360 and it was F**kin awesome as!! Best graphics i have seen on a video game so far and the realism in the way you shoot and move around has to be seen to be believed. Comes out on PS3 soon so definetely get that, its worth it. :worship:

meh, doubt the darkness will be any different on a PS3 compared to a 360 (display wise)

Alright here is my game list yet again.

Blu Ray Titles:

Resistance Fall Of Man <--- Great Game

F1 CE <--- Haven't had a chance to play it much but seems pretty good

F.E.A.R <--- Story Mode was pretty good but online I didn't enjoy

Oblivion <--- Got bored with it after a couple of days

Tony Hawk <--- Don't bother wasting ya money

Tiger Woods PGA <--- Pretty good, I never found golf relaxing so this game does annoy you if your like me

Fight Night Round 3 <--- Good game to play after Tiger Woods to get rid of all your anger, Well worth the money

Motorstorm <--- Pretty good for the first few days but after that sorta gets boring

Ridge Racer <--- Haven't played it much but seems like just another RR game

PS Store Games:

Tekken <--- I'm not very good at tekken so I can't rate the game

Calling All Cars <--- Great game to keep you entertained for awhile

Super Rub A Dub <--- Finished all the modes in a few hours, not too bad for sixaxis training

Go Puzzle <--- Pretty good if you are into puzzle games, I would buy the 3 pack not just indivial packs.

  • 1 month later...
only PS3 game i got is Resistance...

its good, wont be buying any more though.

Wont be buying any more games? Why did you get a ps3 for then..

babyskyline, the ps3 is definatly worth the money if you consider it is way more than just a gaming machine. As of yet there is any major MUST have titles, but by christmas there will be, and early '08 is looking very promising.

The blu-ray player in the PS3 is top of the line, the best on the market at the moment and cheaper than most too. Granted you'll need a HDTV to take full advantage of most of what the PS3 can do, its definatly worth it.

I recently bought the BBC doco 'Planet Earth' on blu-ray, filmed entirely on HD cameras it looks absolutely unbelievable.

So yes, in my opinion is worth every cent now, and will be even more so come christmas.

I agree the PS3 is worth every cent they are charging for it. I got it on launch night so I paid full price. My ps3 is used as a media server (streaming movies, tv shows, music etc off my comptuer) and media player (DVD and Blu Ray) and also as a gaming console. I am sure the console will drop in the price by christmas or there will be a good christmas deal going on but right now it isn't too bad with sony offering the PS3, Resistance Fall Of Man, Motorstorm, and 2 controllers for $999 which happens to be what I paid for just the console.

Also to the people that say you NEED a hdtv to enjoy the PS3 that is abit of a lie. I was amazed with the output quality on my SDTV but you are right it looks like alot better on HDTV as I now have the PS3 running through my Projector at 720p for games and 1080i for movies.

well i bought the PS3 at japanese launch in november last year and having now bought a wii I reckon if anything the PS3 is a bargain and the wii is overpriced. sure one is double the price of the other but i think you get much better value with the PS3. don't get me wrong the wii is awesome fun, but the PS3 is a whole new level.

    • Should be more than fine, especially the overall fuel pressure would never exceed 3.5bar (assuming that thing never gets more than 0.5bar of boost in stock form). According to the chart, it's 11amps.
    • I definitely know the first rule here, look first, ask second. I've seen many people get roasted 😂 I found a few diagrams for the RB, but I'm yet to come across one for the VQ. From what I have read, the pump gets the +12v along with the FPCM, and it's the negative wire that gets passed through the resistor to regulate the voltage. So I assume I can just ground the negative wire at the pump to eliminate the FPCM control. But I really wanted to see the VQ circuit diagram first to make sure I understood it correctly. Once the new pump is in I'll do some testing to see how it behaves, and in the meantime, I'll keep looking for a wiring diagram. Thanks for your help mate, your time is greatly appreciated.
    • Maybe? I have the Supercheap ToolPro low thingo. It has a somewhat smaller diameter lifting "bowl" than you would expect on a workshop grade trolley jack, and a split rubber pad to suit that diameter. It clears the "N1" style skirts I have. Probably wouldn't if the jack's bowl and a suitably larger rubber block were in use. Having said that though.....you only need the rubber block to exist on the inner side of the pinchweld, so could carve away any rubber that fouled the skirt, leaving some there for "insurance" </simples>
    • I used to do that (sills with rubber jack block).. ... then I got side skirts, and there's no way for the jack to actually work there, the jack pad itself on the jack is too big. Is the answer to use a... smaller (?) jack? Hmmm.
    • I have too much trauma from every skyline I've ever seen having crushed jack points/pinch welds lol.    Yep, works 100%, it's what I use when I'm using the quick jack. Don't know why I can't also bring myself to do the same thing when I'm using a jack. I blame the skyline PTSD.
