Hi guys,

I'm selling my fujitsu lifebook. It was bought brand new in singapore in december last year and cost around $3500. I have the notebook, the power supply, an optional carry case, all the manuals, and all the software. It comes with Windows XP Pro, MS Office Pro and the latest Norton Anti-virus. It's an awesome notebook. Perfect for travelling etc as it's so small and light. It's barely been used since bought. Actually my mum bought it but the screen was too small for her, so she went back to her magnesium sony vaio with a bigger screen. I rarely need to use a laptop at all, but I also have another one so I don't need 2. I'm asking $2350. Condition is excellent. I would say it's like new.

here is the spec:

Plus it's made in Japan so is of top quality. It was registered for world wide warranty when purchased so it still has plenty of warranty left.

It's won lots of awards in the last year too. A great ultra portable notebook.

some pics from fujitsu. I'll get some pics of the actual unit later, but it's basically in as new condition.

Richard that is one top notebook!

Just in case anyone is interested, I have repaired Laptops for 15 yrs and the Fujitsu is THE most RELIABLE laptop ever made!

We rarely ever see them come in for repair, and this one has warranty and MS Office as well! :D

A great buy and tempting....Hmmm

Thanks mate, it is a nice notebook. Would be awesome for tuning cars etc as it's so portable and has good battery life. plus memory card slot, 3 X USB 2.0, 1 X firewire, dual layer DVD writer. Now that I have a home desktop, a work desktop and another notebook I just don't need it. We spent nearly $4000 after buying the notebook, office pro, norton and the case.

Anyway, price drop to $2200 neg.

man this is proving harder to shift than a kidney stone. Anyway, price is still $2200 neg considering the spend of $4K on it 6 months ago it's pretty damn good I reckon. yeah it's a tech item, but still top shelf as far as ultra portable note books go. anyway, anyone who is keen just make me an offer. Now that some #$%@# stole my phone over the weekend I need the dough!

a few people asked me about warranty so I checked it out. I got this info from the Fujitsu website:

"The LifeBook P7120 will be available through Fujitsu resellers nationally and comes with Fujitsu's standard three year warranty¹ . Please visit www.pc-ap.fujitsu.com for further details."

So about 2.5 years of warranty remaining. :)

wow using the cd for scale it looks real small.

does it fit in the glove box of your GTR? i'm considering going Wolf for my ecu, so that little bugger mounted in the glove box might be a bit handy.

I'll do the glovebox check for you tonight. My guess is yes, it'll fit easily.

I really want it gone by this weekend. So let's call it $2100 for now or make me an offer. man electronics suck! $4K down to $2100 in 6 months. It's top shelf too. wireless net, bluetooth, Dual layer burner, lightweight and well over 2 years of warranty a steal I reckon. If no one takes it for this money I'll find someone in the family to give it a home.

Hi, did the glove box check and it fits in there no worries. Not much room left over, but it goes in there, and you can close the glove box.

I really need this gone. so $2000 flat will take it away. That's now pretty much half what it cost. So basically a kick arse ultra portable notebook and a fraction of the replacement cost. Will post it pretty much anywhere in Aus for $20.

  • 2 weeks later...

fujitsu notebooks rock. i got their $5000 multimedia laptop and i love it... i work for Fujitsu and they gave it to me on a salary sac :)

Does this model have a 9pin serial connector? i dont know if it would be good for tuning

definatly the best laptops you can get but you pay for it as well.

    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
