been shoppn around for 34 gtrs lately and never really had a good idea of places who supply mint/immac r34 gtrs.

apart from buying existing 34s down here (which very few good condition/low kms exist) would anyone like to recommend places of interest?

I hear Autostyles is a fairly popular choice

There are many places in Melbourne that will bring one in for you.

Ring around and get to know them.

Not many though will have a GTR34 for sale though, but you never know..they have dropped in price.

I bought my gtr33 from Gran Tourismo Autos (Spencer St)..they sometimes hold gtr34's in stock.

Good luck

with their prices i think i could buy a lambo. honestly though i dont know why they are so expensive....its shockn

How so? Did you actually get quotes from them?

Their parts might be expensive but the service charges for importing cars are not that much different to others.

and how much do you consider too much? surely $80k for a 34 GTR is reasonable considering you want $45k for your GT-T

What are you looking at spending? I disagree there are a few choice GTR's available in Australia right now. :D

i didnt get quotes but i will be giving them a call, the reason i say they are expensive is because i had a look at their car sale section, and some were pretty pricey, although now that i think about it they did have the best GTRs ive ever seen.

With Powerplay, you pay for what you get - They only sell top shelf vehicles from what I have seen.

i guess ur right, i only saw them selling NUR specs, M specs and Vspec 2s

well i have enough to be spending around 70k on a nice gtr. but i would like to pick one up for around 60-65 if possible.

i really want a low K GTR, dosnt have to be V spec or anything, proberly <50,000kms on the clock. and it has to be BLACK

p.s sewid, r u still selling urs? i remmeber u were tryin to get rid of it a while ago. still got the beast?

Mine is black, and for sale yes.

Mine is a V-Spec and to be honest you don't pay much extra for a V-Spec so you should always try and get one. The subtle differences don't seem much at first but when you own one you'll be kicking yourself for not paying a small fraction more for the V-Spec. Take a look at some comparison photos. They look naked without their front lip and the rear under tray finishes the rear off that extra bit.

I bought my M-Spec in Japan . I wouldn't buy a none V-spec 34, you get a few nice bits with a V-Spec and you will only pay $5 k extra.

Why don't you check sewid's car , Its black , V-Spec and has some nice mods as well. I have seen that car and I can tell you its a very genuine , none accident car with Genuine K's on the clock . Don't forget most cars for sale would have the oddos turned back so the 30-50k k's showing on the clock will more than likely be 100 k k's .

Your other option is to go to Japan and buy one there but expect to pay 4mil+ yen for a 99 model series I and 5 mil+ for a series II car with reasonable K's .

Good luck in your search ..

thanks for the advice mate, the only issue with me looking at sewids car is the high kms. i just really want a car with low kms.

i defiently love how his car has the immac paint, love the power mods, nice and clean.

but i just want a low k car.

ive found a genuine 16k r34 gtr with original logbooks from a reputable jap company 99 vspec with a few mods like 6 pot brakes, genuine z tune kit and all the suspension mods one could wnt for around 68 landed n complied.

also found a 99 vspec with n1 engine, power fc d jetro, n1 turbos, cams, etc etc showing 80km on the clock but has jus been rebuilt and has 5000km since the build for 67 landed n complied.

ill probably be importing one of them for myself jus waiting till monday to get a response from various importers and who can bring it for me. i want sum1 to look after all the hassle for me.

they are both excellent conditition non accidental cars, i had a friend of mine look at them in japan he other day!

wat do u guys think of those prices? fair?

Guest B34ST GTR

The guy i bought my GTR off bought his from gran turismo autos in melb. They sold to him for 75k and had him under the impression it was a v-spec as it had a sticker on rear bumper.....it was not.

He bought it at 36000kms for $75000

i bought it off him a year later at 37500kms for $52000

therefore i think gran turismo autos and others alike are always going for the top dollar. buy private and save 20k+

since buying mine i have put power fc d-jetro and profec-b boost cont. and now i have a pregnant wife so i will sell mine for $55000

    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
    • For race cars, this is one part where I find having the roll cage bar having gone through a hole in the floor better than the build it up on a ledge inside... The Merc I help on, the main hoop ends are marked on the car, and the jack is marked... Jack goes under a few inches and lifts one whole side of the car up... Removes that fight for long slim jacks for race car duties!   My biggest issue for the daily drivers I work on, is my jacks don't go high enough. The jacks start out on a few blocks, jack it up, then start a second jack under it on more blocks, and then I can get an axle stand under it. My axle stands are presently in use, and are nearly fully extended. The car is sitting with barely more than a cm of clearance to get the wheel off the studs! Sarah's Kluger is the same, as it has an ungodly amount of droop available in the suspension and a distinct lack of good jacking points!
    • Happy? Yep, my to do list is getting shorter and shorter. Either this light approaching is the end of the tunnel, or I'm about to be hit by a train... Ha ha ha   Also, Duncan isn't that far out of town that you need to make a multi day drive out of it. 😛
