Whoa, where did you see this? I've seen the ACT Number 1 (also on a Merc) but not the Vic one.

Damn, plates are worth more than the car.

That plate might be worth over a million dollars... http://www.caradvice.com.au/6764/number-pl...orth-1-million/

why? i'm sure he has worked hard for it...

May have. may not have. I'm sure Paris hilton has worked hard to not have to work a day in her life either  That's not the point though. Why spend that much on a licence plate of all things?

Could buy a nice house for that price.

a nice house AND that car.

Dude seriously, I'm sure the owner of that plate spent that much money on that plate because he has lots of money to spend.

If you think he's only worth the amount of the license plate and that car you'd probably be mistaken.

To clarify i was pointing out it seems like a waste of money to me.

I wish i was in that position, because you know that if he/she's spent that much on a number plate, he/she's crossed a lot of things off their 'things to do with my money' list to get down to 'buy an expensive numberplate'.

plus, it's probably the only truly unique thing in the auto industry these days. There always a chance that someone else will pull up next to you in an identical murcielago/reventon/Aston DBS but no-one will EVER pull up next to you with the #1 numberplate.

you know what i mean, the odds of someone with a single digit plate being nearby are astronomical (that being said, i followed "27" down the monash a few weeks back) - if you decide to go for a personalised plate the individuality isn't nessecarily there is "SKYLIN", "SKYLNE", "SKYLN3", "SKYLYNE", "SKILYNE" , "SK1LYNE" and the infinite number of permutations mean you 'individual' plate isn't as individual as you might think. Whereas, single digits, well, there's only nine of them.

    • Had a chat to Tony Mamo - he advised that looking at the graph's shape (regardless of number translation) it shouldn't be levelling off like that up top. He said it looks like the car is running a restrictor plate or something of that nature. Luckily the last dyno pull on E85 was saved to the PC - So I did a quick trace of Barometric KPA vs Intake manifold pressure, and lo and behold I see a copy of the 'waves' I was seeing on the dyno: I'm not entirely sure how to go about addressing this. It may be worth sacrificing IAT to run a more direct intake for the motor. Though packaging this could be flat out impossible given the constraints of the car. I should have removed the intake pipe to see if this made a difference but looking at this graph I now have something to potentially test in the future and think about.
    • Oh, I forgot too, all the multimedia stuff captured and sold through things like people playing Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go specifically, can actually be traced all the way back to a CIA investment company too. So yep, they're watching everything. Not to mention the new stuff where they've worked out how to use WiFi signals to be able to map occupants inside of a building. That one would be something that I see being more used in public/government buildings, as you need to understand the signals when the room has no one in it first. It's not as easy as Hollywood would like you to think it is.
    • Followed ☺️ Assuming those are NEO rods, then at least 400kW all day.
    • Lets keep this going , Spotted this very stock V35 in Penrith and also saw a nice R32 FLY past me on Castlereagh rd , sounded really good.
    • Great work! Give it a clean up with some Emery paper, and I'd run a thread die over the threads too to clean them up. It will make reinstall much easier, and also life easier for the next time it needs to come out.
