Nice car man congrats :) If i were doing my car over again, as in from stock. I would DEFINATELY get an ecu first. No questions asked. I tried to do it the other way round and learnt the hard way. :) If you do it first, then your car will be so much beeter off in every mod you do and from then on its easy street. :)

nice clean 34. Depending on whether u want to go power or aesthetics first. For the "looks" dept. Below are the basics in order.

1. Wheels

2. Suspension

3. Bodykit (optional)

OH and make sure u have covered the essentials first like full comp insurance and alarm/immobiliser.

Yeh the decision can be tough, been looking at exhausts, don't want bigger than a 3", trying to figure out what would be the best type to go with, short of that, i definatly need to do a stereo upgrade, i love my music,

but the one thing im 100% on is the bodykit, its gonna be the package from DMD, (funnily enough i bought the car from someone who works there) the Bomex Sides and Rear with the Do-Luck front, I've always thought it looked hot, sorry to those who already have it lol

@ MissR34

- That looks nice, did you have the holes in the boot lid filled?

Ii've always thought tht 34's look sweet with out the spoiler, i think ever since seeing the 'MR DMD' R34 with that gorgeous catalunya spalsh

I saw it when i picked up my car, with its Do-Luck front and Bomex sides and Rear, Im gona feel like such a copy cat when i get around to buying the kit... lol

I am tossing between stripping the spoiler on my one also.

I've seen a few R34s (all non white), it just didnt look right without the wing....

Umm guess it gives me something to do tomorrow.

Thnks 4 all the comments people -

@ MAYHEM - Yeh im not sure about the spoiler, i too like the spoiler-less look but not sure if i actually like it over having one on there

but man i must say those rims of urs are tight, those are 20's right? I've fallen in love with the black rim/polished lip look, or something of the sort, but i don't think ill go over 19's when i get to that stage lol, love ur ride

    • I was 99% sure the standard one is long enough to get there, you might just have to change the throttle orientation. If not, I remember someone having used an r31 cable instead, but that is probably harder to find than r33 by now...
    • HELP   Hey all, Is there an accelerator cable from another Nissan that can be used on the R33 GTST RB25DET with a Greddy forward facing plenum?  Thanks in advance  Rob
    • Or do we think it was installed to give 1 bar of boost max, all day, everyday?
    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
