what mph are you crossing the line at?

and was it 121hp or kw, cause i don't think you could do it with 123hp, even if you had drag slicks. if it was 121kw then i could believe it since i managed a 14.8 out of a magna with a 60ft time 0.187 slower than you. if i got a 2.0 60ft i'd be somewhere round the 14.5 mark.

i also notice that the dyno run you have posted says in the description that you say the car has a blocked cat, so if it does, what does it run without the blocked cat?

once again to clear things up, the car ran 123rwhp on the blocked cat, the 1/4 mile run was done with a new cat

No slicks were used, i explained what the car has done to it, nothing more nothing less.

If anyone lives in WA and wants to verify that it is what i say it is, then they are more than welcome to inspect the car.

Im not rogercordia, i dont have a need to make up bullshit

Im not rogercordia

rofl...

your brother may have set a new bench mark for NA times. i'll take it down the strip when i get a spare chance.

i make 115kw, which is roughly 150HP - we'll see how it compares.

Have you got any mods? If so, what mods.

My RB25DE with only cat-back exhaust (probably makes no diff anyway) make 115kw aswell. No other mods, I am sure of that :whistling:

didn't dial any timing in. it's still whatever it is from the factory or previous owner.

the safc was to clean up the afr a bit not for any sort of power.

most of my mods are based around suspension parts and setup, not power.

although i might have to put some in to try this drag racing thing you guys call racing.

hahahaha, i'm kinda the opposite, mostly been racing my cars down the strip but with the new gt-four im keen to throw it around a track, even if it does mean i'm just going around in circles....

Vote1 for Shaved head/thinner head gasket.

Increases CR a bit.

Most likely a few degrees extra dialled in on the CAS.

Check what timing it runs at idle, unsure on the GTS, but on the GTS-t it should be 15degrees.

It definately has timing smashed into it, i said that on the first page. From memory the cas is pretty much maxed out so its probably running around 25 degrees of timing at idle lol, which kinda throws the shaved head out the door cause with the extra CR and all that timing its would be pinging its nuts off all day long which isnt the case

Im getting my n/a tuned it already has a catback and coldair/pod. It is getting a piggyback system, cams and a lightened flywheel. When its all done ill scan the drag slip onto the computer :O

good stuff, post up what power you get after the tune aswell :D

anyone else has got a time to post up please do, i wanted to get some general comparision going to set a general bench mark for n/a owners but the thread kinda got sidetracked lol

there is the oppportunity if me might being able to do a 1/4 mle in november but i dont know if i want to cause my poor engine is tired and im ummmm'ing and rrr'ing about whether to do it or not..................

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
