Who's R34 Took Out A Street Light On Montague Road This Morning?

Hi guys,

Turned right off Cavan Road onto Montague Road heading toward Main North at about 8:50am this morning. Saw a cop car parked on the side of the road about half way up this section of road. As I got closer, it was plain to see that some car had taken out one of those big street lights. As I went past, I was suprised to see that the car was an silvery grey R34. Couldn't see any plates as the front was caved in and the rear was at an angle where I couldn't see the plates either. Had to keep going as I was running late to pick up my son.

Can't tell whether the cops had been chasing it or whether someone just reported the accident. There was no ambulance around and at a glance, it didn't appear to have anyone in it.

Sorry I can't give much detail on the car as it was already past it by the time I realised it was a Skyline.

Anyone here know the story and whether it was someone off the forum?

Yeah the guy made a post about it on the boost cruising forums, he had no insurance on it so now hes going to be selling it for parts or as a whole if he can find a buyer.

I wish that the pricks that stole were killed in these types of accidents. They would be doing society a favour. We work damn hard for our cars and these idiots come along and take 'em cos they think they have a right to do whatever they want.

I just can't believe that someone could own a $25k car and not have it insured .... if you can't afford the insurance, you can't afford the car. Simple.

Very sorry to hear about this guy's loss and yes, the thief should be handed over to us immediately for the appropriate punishment.

Lesson learnt on my part, my cars now locked up tight and its not moving til i have an alarm and insurance. If you have no alarm and/or insurance i'd do the same, i was lucky to get my car back with just a stuffed ignition, most other skylines stolen arnt as lucky.

Just make sure you have a secure job before you buy a 10k+ car, sucks when you buy a car then lose your job and have no way of paying for insurance/alarm when all your centrelink money goes to paying off the loan (the situation i was in), but yeah goodluck with everything. Did the police give you the thieves name like they did with me?

im looking at a 4 door ( r34 or v35 ) for the missus but as its a daily driver, i dont want to get that phone call saying car has been taken
