I went to the autosalon but i could not wait around all day for the best car at show to run so i missed out on the run.

Looks great and congrats on the win!!! Good to see a RB win a event ;) woulda been different if Miss 2j ran... Anyone know what is up there? =)

Cheer's thanks for the support...

Miss 2j is busted...catestrophic engine failure.

While we did go on the dyno, our car is no dyno queen. We'd be happy to match "miss 2j" up against our beast at the strip...12.2 with her husband driving is far from impressive, and a 1.36 around Wakefield is very poor...Stace runs 11's with only 350kw, and im sure a standard Supra could beat that wakefield time quite easily. A car with a 1000rpm power band does not really "float my boat"....But if thats their thing good luck to them, we rather enjoy what we have built than look at it in a show. Don't get what i have said here the wrong way, as both Jodi and Ross are lovely people, its just a little tiring people comparing our cars all the time. They built theirs to win show trophy's we built ours to race.

The engine build is on par with RH9, JUN, DEVLISH, GTR700 and other monster's that have come out of the CRD garage, the only thing stopping this engine from making big dyno numbers is the size of the turbo(s). Nothing more.

Dave...may take you up on the CDI offer mate.

i understand where your comming from and i agree totally. Its just a show car and nothing more. Just a shame that it keeps blowing up..... would cost soooo much money ;)

rumour has it the last bottom end was a $30 000 Titan Motorsports item from the states.

ouch!

ahh how the hell did they manage to break it then? somethings obviously not right with their combo,,,

i heard the reason why it cost soo much money was because they made her change the management system. the engine only need pistons and a head to fix from the last blow up.

I wonder if we will see this car out on the dyno again.

yeah maybe the compression is too high or the plenum does not flow correctly ;)

more like ...way too much timing caused excessive heat and melted pistons, valves and head.

anyway...this is our thread...not theirs...lol

if that's the case, and i was them, i'd be finding myself a new tuner

...yes back on topic...almost ready for tomorrow paul??? and when does stace get to pilot it? :sorcerer:

They are up to their third tuner now i believe. Its a definate setup problem.

What power does this 2j make? or did make before it blew?

Cause those times say pretty pathetic, or the driver/s are.

it was around 750 - 800rwkw

Back on topic now - just answered the questions.. no more about this 2j.

It wouldn't be the first time a Supra has run a 12 but I bet it was at eleventy billion mph...

Paul, gimme a buzz on the mobile if you want to run at Supernats.

2rismo, thanks as per phone call...ever thought of being a puppeteer...you certainly know how to pull a few strings.

turbo's HKS GT-RS items

capacity 2600cc

static CR one thing ill be keeping to ourselves (im sure you understand)

What about you promise to tell us when you reach a certain ET? I'm dying to know.

it means nothing...

our number plate reads TWO.06L...meaning two point six litre.

some people when making up custom plates use a 6 as a G

my mate one day was looking at the plate and asked us "what does twoogl mean"?

we had a laugh and explained to him that it meant 2.6litre...and that the 6 was not meant to be a G but actually a 6...

he said nah stuff it im now gonna call it "twoogle"

this name stuck and has grown to even been included in the drag records lists and in magazine articles

its weird how some nicknames evolve and stick

Which is why I wonder why people don't call me Abo Gob...

Looking good Paul. All the best for tomorrow and the rest of the assault.

    • Block bump. $400. As above cyl 6 needs bore or sleeve.
    • I would think making the argument that the travel is limited by a spring flexing against a spring perch as "the same method". Later on in the document they do state that the spring can't bind on full bump travel and cannot come loose in full rebound travel as well. (which is all very sensible). The laws are actually pretty sensible and reasonable. It's just that the people who enforce and check them don't actually read them or know them accurately. "Oh, coilovers? Instant fail mate. Don't even need to look at it." - Guy who will be instantly reported by me. There is probably merit to people who do get defected for height also get defected for the suspension in that state that allows it. I did never consider the people who are complaining about coilovers being picked on are also running around at 50mm off the floor.
    • I think given SAU's knowledge of E85 we can strongly conclude that 10% ethanol in almost any situation is entirely fine. Almost all of the myths against E85 were overblown, let alone E10.
    • From your link See bold text, is this referring to damper settings, if so that may a issue for "some" inspectors, I cannot see aftermarket coilovers having the evidence that "must be available that its functional performance is equivalent to the original" Maybe just remove the adjustment knows and hope for the best???? Meh 5.2 Suspension travel In all instances, modifications to a vehicle’s suspension must ensure the integrity of the system and not compromise the ride quality. At least two thirds of the original suspension travel should be maintained in both directions (rebound (i.e. extension) and bump (i.e. compression)), and rebound must be limited by the same method used by the vehicle manufacturer or if this is not practicable due to the nature of the modification, an equivalent method. If an alternative method is used, evidence must be available that its functional performance is equivalent to the original.
    • They actually don't - They adhere to VSB14 rules just like Victoria. The rules are against CABIN adjustable height, and it quite clearly states that the height has to be within parameters. I asked the VASS engineer to confirm this when I got my car engineered and they refused to engineer the coilovers because they didn't meet the requirements for requiring engineering. (mine are height adjustable.) People "Not wanting to bother" with "Actually reading/knowing/adhering to the rules" should result in fines and immediately losing the ability to issue blue slips and/or RWC's in Vic.
