Gday,

I got defected a few months back and can't afford engineering. I'm going to sell my car at the moment as UNREGISTERED. It can be re-registered for those who have connections or can get engineering.

Make/Model:

R31 s3 (not sure if it's TI, exec or whatever, it has air con)

Year:

87 or 88 I think

Kilometers:

350,000 at least but odo stopped at 187k-ish

Transmission type:

5 speed!

Engine:

rb30

Colour:

blue

Modifications:

- HSD coilovers 8/6k I think. (not more than 30k). (I bought from REPLICATE who I used to work with, I remember he bought them for his ceffy and I've driven less than 100km on them).

- r32 steering rack (great condition, checked it before putting it in)

- S13 coilover conversion (lower control arms, brakes, brake lines, proper rear top hats etc)

- custom lines for r32 rack (cost me just under $300!)

- hole in bonnet (comes with the kind of east bear-ish reverse scoop)

- Modena Japanese 3 piece rims in absolute mint condition (16x7 and 16x8 for that old school toughness, includes all pins/caps etc)

- Tyres that aren't shagged

- Short shift kit

- Stripped interior (rear seatbelts still in)

- Apex pod filter

- r32 FMIC kit (including FMIC which is already mounted)

- VLT stainless ebay exhaust manifold

- "glue on" flares (fatness)

- option of 40mm spacers (which were machined to fit the wheels and nissan hubs, will match these flares)

- import rear garnish (installed!)

- garden edge

- full sick drift styled mild steel tipped exhaust (needs a hanger welded on)

- tinted windows

- solid alloy steering spacer

- tein camber plates (bushes in great nick)

Roadworthy Certificate:

no

Registered:

no

Accident History:

none at all

Asking Price:

$2.5k

Location:

North Shore, Sydney

Contact Details:

0410 532 548 - call if you're serious, i don't want to be f**king around texting 15 year olds with no money

Other Comments:

It runs and it's fine (if I could clear it it would have become a drift-daily), if I wasn't without a job at the moment and it wasn't defected I would finish off the bonnet and use the thing daily.

Car will come with all stock parts I can find. Can make cheaper minus the VLT gear and can make it really really cheap minus suspension and/or wheels (they're the most expensive thing on the car).

Basically that's the lot as I can remember it. If it doesn't sell as an entire car I will take a spanner to it and rip everything off and part it out. I would prefer to sell it whole however as it used to be Bryce Courtney's car and it was stock as a rock when I got it.... I'd prefer it go to someone who'll either revert to stock or build it up to a drift car. My original intention was to put the VLT gear in, weld the diff and have a drift.... the car has been sitting outside my ex's house for months now because I haven't had money Sad

The car will come with as many original parts I can find. I DID however throw away the rear seat as it was crap.

More pics to come, there are many in the buildup thread in my signature however.

The vent and obviously the hole beneath it

If you do part I'll take the suspension mate, my 31 is very "boaty!"

Gday,

I'll part it out if no one buys it as a whole or I get enough serious people buying the main parts. The suspension is s13 coilovers, so you know. PM me to let me know if you would also be interested in the s13 conversion "kit" or just the coilovers so I can factor this in.

Cheers.

Is it turboed at the moment or do you have the parts to put on a turbo on it, like just the manfold and no turbo

Edited by tootooldrifter

Not turboed at the moment, I have exhaust manifold, gaskets, all piping, silicone, o clamps and FMIC. To turbo it'll need the turbo, the water/oil lines, injectors, fuel pump and the computer. With that it's either rechip, VLT computer or custom. The VLT computer has a knock sensor whereas the r31 one does not, that didn't bother me too much as I was only going to run safe boost with it and CEF11E who's posted in this thread was going to do the remap for me.

Anyway I've taken a deposit for it and hopefully it'll be picked up this weekend :w00t:

Car reportedly safe with owner now in Victoria :worship:

Best deal ever ebay feedback lols good !1heke!121 etc blah

I'm not sure if the owner wants his plans revealed however I would keep an eye out for a 4 door r31 causing havoc somewhere ;)

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
