So, the entries have started to be confirmed.

Can anyone confirm if there's a facility for us to form a "team". Don't want to leave the Evo traitors out, maybe "Team Nutjob" or something?

You can enter a team in Targa, I saw all the teams listed in the resalts book.

We picked up 14th at Rallye Burnie on the weekend in the Integra, which was an excellent result as it was Darren's first event as a driver, I'd never navigated and it was the first time he'd spend more than 10min in the car. I now have a new appreciation for the navigators role, but didn't vomit!

Dave Ayers (R33GTR) suffered a rear diff failure and had a generally painful weekend with related sensor problems thanks to the diff failure. We think the diff finally gave it after spending most of Targa in 2WD.

Well done to both of you! How was Burnie this year? Pretty dry I heard? It's a great little event isn't it!

Yeh I saw Dave had some issues, two stages he couldn't finish wasn't it?

Crappleton and i ran the very very wet Burnie last year, we loved it! .... riiiight up until the very last stage, running third outright. Crappo thought he didn't just want to BEAT Longhurst, he wanted to SMASH him. But, LOL, a picture tells the story!

hellyer and oldina were dampish with inter corners on the first run, but dried up from there.

luina was also damp on that goat track after the bridge, but dry everywhere else.

dave and us were sharing service crew and we called on all our local contacts to source parts for him. the crew worked until about 5am sunday morning getting it going again (huge effort). andrew lawson ended up lending and building a diff from his spares (nizpro 200sxr) and kelvin maxfield (r31) supplied some housings and axles from his track car.

the event was good, but the integra lacked so much up hill urge compared to the year i ran the gtr. nearly 100ks difference in max speed on the 400m streach in hazlewood!

the year i ran the gtr, every gtr crew went off on the same stage (luina) - jeff keyte (R33 N1) ended up down a bank, we (R32 V-SpecII) end up spinning and taging a bank and whitey (R34 N1) removed the front of his!

Ahhh, that what it's all about! Everyone coming together to keep eachother going! Top effort all round guys! lol, you don't see too much of that comradery in drag racing! That's one of the big reasons tarmac rallying keeps me coming back :-D

I would love to run next year, but lack of experiance is whats holding me back. i think rallye Burnie is on the cards for next year for me, and we will see what happens from there. if anybody needs a hand crewing in 08 for targa let me know. i have access to a full workshop in Bunie as well.

How about Rally Tas then Targa Guesty? If I was a first timer I'd definately be having a crack at the Rookie Rally first Nice little event that one, with the opportunity to get a free entry into the full Targa the following year.

I reckon we'll have the MPC boys crewing for us again, but hopefully we'll see your face around

Steve mentioned when i saw him this year that he was keen to get one.

Greg Muller has ordered one (he's currently in an Evo 8), but whether it'll be a road or rally car he's not sure yet.

We're (Dean n I) gonna wait n see what they weigh and if good rubber becomes available first, and if electronic trickery is easy or difficult like a 997 Turbo.

With the new rules stipulating no lighter than factory weight, I'd be chasing a light car, and my gut says the new GTR may be a little fat. Hope not though!

I've floated the idea of Deano (Car #979 owner/driver) tarmac speccing his Audi R8 in a couple of years when the lease is up

I'd like to see someone enter a Ferrari F430 Scuderia, or any modern compeditve Ferrari for that matter.

I was told the main reason we don't see the quick Fezza's is that the build numbers are too low? But thats kinda not working for me now with the Lambo Superleggomechanoset Gallardos?

You reckon a Fezz would be competetive outright? I don't, but would def be a buzz!

Pretty sure Tony Alford is getting a new GTR aswell after all the disasters with the 997

From what i've read the standerd F430 is faster than the standard Lambo. Si i'd imagine the Scuderia would be faster than the superlegs.

If we ever get the Hunter rebuilt in time, we are in, but seing as it still has the front of the car missing, hummm, will see.
