HI.

I have been searching compulsively for a 93/94 gtr in black (or at least not white)

I have found some clean examples in VIC but they all were white. And all the black ones were

in bad condition.

I have seen one advertised in NSW on car sales and it's a 93 black gtr. From the description it

sounds in good order, but who's to know. It's the one in Penrith for 19000. cant post the link for

some reason

So. Does anyone know of any services that I can arrange an inspection for the car.

Or is there any SAU members/moderators that would be willing to inspect the car for a fee.

I would prefer to be at the inspection but would like someone who is more mechanically aware

than I am to give a better judgement on condition of the motor.

In an Ideal world I would like a report on the condition of the interior / exterior etc and then take

the flight up to NSW to do a thurough check.

Also is there somehow to arrange for the car to be brought down besides driving it myself.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Loc

well I'm not sure about a good workshop out penrith way (I think there is one but can't remember its name?)

UAS is about 15min from there and they could do an inspection for you.

as for getting it home......shipping SYD-MEL is cheap, but why not drive it home and get to know it? flight to syd is cheap on virgin

yes, UAS do a good pre-purchase inspection. my 1993 GTR that I sold the new buyer had it inspected there. I think a full inspection including a compression check was around the $250 mark, but ring them for a quote. if you wanted to they could do a power check on the dyno for you too.

Thanks evryone.

I rang UAS and your right thier about $250

Now the only problem is trying to get the seller to take it thier.

From the sounds of it UAS are the most reputable but if anyone has any good commendations for

Race Solutions in Penrith as posted by BLK180 I might try them to make it more convienient for the seller

But by the sounds of it I think UAS may be a thurough option.

CHEERS.

ps. Now may be the time to also offer to sell a black gtr hehe

yeah race solutions are good. i've had my car tuned there. but given the choice for a pre-purchase inspection I would go to UAS for sure. they are at seven hills. not that far from penrith. maybe 20min drive.

Hey guys,

I am in the same boat as locoloc.

UAS seems to be the place to go for inspection.

Could someone please post the contact details of UAS.

btw, the car is in newcastle. Is there any other place nearby (if UAS is too far from Newcastle) that I can ask the seller to bring the car for inspection?

P.S. I am from WA.

thanks very much

Hi mate, newcastle is a good 2hrs out of sydney so you mught have trouble. not sure where there is a good shop up there. UAS would probably be the closest specialist if they are willing to bring it down to sydney

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
