Dosen't look too bad. I filled the gar with some rubber weather strip I sourced from clak rubber $13 (I love that shop, I used it a few times now, love going there) and sealed it with windscreen sealant $11. Got some red coloured brake light globes from my favorite Bulleseye store $10. I reckon thats the cheapest mod that has some much visual impact I have ever done...

can't wait to see it at night

Yeah I guess so, but playing sealant sucks ass... i lost my fingerprints from getting the assembly apart... suck ass I wouldn't want to do it twice... well four times... cause I still gotta do the other side...

I also had to do the bake in an oven trick, worked well...

I was about to do the same thing the other day after reading a post by BAM33. Had the light assembly out and all, then decided against it after seeing the sealant.

Looks great IMO.

Night shots please

if it is a white reflector pointing rewards you stand a good chance of getting booked. it is illegal to have white lights (other than reverse lights and number plate light) and white reflectors pointing rearwards.

I'd also like to see some night shots of this, and whether it's actually legal or not!

In vic it wouldnt be legal because you need to have a red reflector and im guessing that red cover was the reflector since there is no more red there.

stick some red tint over the centre circle which is the reflector. then you're legal. mind you then you'll have albino eyes on the back of your car.

when there is a car behind you with their headlights on, those reflectors shine like a b**ch,

i did this to my tail lights and at night in the light they look like rever lights lol, im pulling mine off after i finish my turbo upgrade and getting some good jap spec LED tailights

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
