Anyone bought/import a vehicle from autoworx before? Some feedback will be apprciated. Understand that autoworx have recently changed hands.

I'am currently importing a car through them and they seem to be handling everything very well. I know people that have bought cars from them before and there service during and after the purchase is great. The new man in charge (Alistair) seems to be a nice guy and good to deal with. I imported a car through imports101 at the beggining of the year and to this point of time i'am much happier with autoworx.

Did they say how long the car will take to arrive at Aus? Were you given a VIN number before bidding for the vehicle ?

yeh i was imformed as to how long the car would take to arrive, but as i missed this months boat mine leaves japan end of next month so it will arrive about 10th november then it must go through customs then goes to there work shop, and yeh they give you the VIN before bidding, along with heaps of photos and any details that you must know.

Got my car there..

I ended up with a yellow sticker down the track and they helped me out with some bits to get me over the pits. Cheers guys! Services like that for the win..

Alistair is a good guy and will do the right thing by you.

PLUS not only just very helpful with the car part of it

Alistair went right out of his way to get me some splitfire coilpacks one day before i had a driver training day, he managed to get me a set just in the nick of time

Same, I bought my R34 just before Paul sold up, I was very happy with the service then, and Alistair has succeeded in filling a big pair of shoes! He is uberfriendly and is very helpful... I'd go back again.

Thks for the replies guys. Btw, how long did it take for you guys to finally drive the car from the moment u placed the order for yr car ?

Might be heading there early Nov. You reckon will i make it b4 Xmas or at least 2008? Will there be major delays considering it's the Xmas season?

Damn.... early Jan perhaps? Problem is during the end of Dec / Jan ppl hardly work or will work.

Won't this delay the whole importing/compliance process? I'll be damn if the car has to sit in the container/workshop cuz of some public holidays/etc

why not call autoworx and discuss it with them. I'm sure they will be able to give you better answers than forum guestimations
