Which day for the track day? No dates yet. Tickets would be around the 150 to 155 mark with these numbers.

Date Cost Name Location

15-Mar-2008 $160.00 AUTOsports @ Wakefield Wakefield Park Raceway

I'd be keen to just pick the auto sports day in the future and book into that if I continue to have no success. Yes we could make maybe $2000 for the club if we ran it ourselves, but there's also the $500 loss possibility.

What is the autosports web site?

Hi everyone.

I'm Niko and I'm the vice president of the ACT Supra Club.

John has been keeping us updated on sf.com.au regarding this track day, so I thought I'd come on here and introduce myself.

The ACT Supra Club started last year in July with hopes of attracting 15 to 20 members. We have now just ticked over 30 members so things are progressing better than expected. Along with a few memebrs of the NSWSC that actually take their car to the track, I'm sure that we can contribute to the numbers required.

We have generated some interest on our forum regarding this event. A lot of our members are young but they are very keen to have a go at the track. I'm sure that more interest would be created once a date is set.

I mean more Supra drivers are sure to come just to shut you Skyline owners up :)

We are keen to get this up and running so let us know if we can help.

Welcome

Thats excellent Niko :D I think we can make a fun day out of this. How do your members feel if its a few more dollars but less cars i.e. more time on the track?

Haha... Nice...

Like we always say... The lack of 4WD and extra lag is just a courteous head start :D You think we are in your rear view mirror and then you realise we've overtaken and pulling away. It must be nice to have that 4WD 'training wheels' system though.

Open wheelers cant run with sedans... Its a saftey thing for us open Wheelers the big heavey fat sedan drivers tend not to see us going past them and run us down. Not nice having 1400kg on top of a 600kg or less openwheeler.

HAHAHAHAHA, If you need help beating a GTR, i will turn off my 4wd for you and with my rb26 starting to come on boost at 5.5 (10 psi) and on hard by 6 i am sure i will be just as laggy as you. (if not your turbo is just to big  and you will flog us on the dyno day....) lol.

I want to go up agianst supras soooo Bad... I love them, hmmmm 2jz.

hahaha! gotta love the rivalry already! training wheels... love it!!! :laughing-smiley-014:

perhaps we should all make a payment of $165 to a trustworthy person, and get them to make a booking with payment on a friday later in the year, say in August or something similar, that way, we have our day booked, people have a crap load of time to get time off work and we've already paid for it. just a thought.....

I know a couple of these supra people, dyno we are going to lose, but at least one of these high horsepower supras cant drive it for shit and I mean FOR SHIT!! *cough* Danny *cough*

And ive heard a few stories, so it will be a different kettle on the track.

    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
